Since she left "Grey's Anatomy," Katherine Heigl tells "Extra's" Jerry Penacoli that it's hard for her to watch the show.

"I feel really outta the loop. There was a time when I knew the storylines before they aired and there was a time when I was present in these scenes or these storylines -- and Alex moving on is very difficult for me," said Heigl.

The actress also tells Jerry that she's a little jealous and feels like she's "missing the party." "I kinda had to just take a step back... The beauty is I can always buy the season on iTunes, when I feel there's enough distance," Katherine said while laughing.

Fans of the hit TV show "Grey's Anatomy" are reeling over Thursday night's intense finale, in which the death toll was high and many characters experienced extreme trauma.

Series creator Shonda Rhimes knew she'd be defending her choices. "When I pitched this finale at the beginning of Season 6 (those of you who know me, know that I pitch the end of the season first and we work towards it), when I pitched a gunman shooting up the hospital, it seemed fine," Rhimes wrote on the "Grey's Anatomy" blog. "Really it did. And then 20 or so episodes later, I started to write it and it did not seem fine. It did not seem fine at all. On an almost daily basis, I would come into work and throw myself down on the sofa in the middle of the office and burst into tears."
