Report: Matt Lauer to Stay at 'Today' for Big Payday?

"Today" show host Matt Lauer will reportedly reconsider leaving the NBC show after his contract ends in December, if the network gives him a significant pay increase... to the tune of $30M?!

According to TMZ, the negotiations are currently in the works, but if NBC agrees, Lauer could earn as much as $30 million a year. He is currently taking home $17 million, which means the $30-million payout would give him a whopping 76 percent pay raise.

Most professional artists know the pitfalls, so to speak, of performing on stage, but 16-year-old Symone Black, an "American Idol" Season 11 hopeful, unfortunately had her first taste of public stumbling when she apparently fainted and fell off the stage during the FOX show's Hollywood auditions Wednesday.


The credits rolled as a medic was called for and the rest of the audience looked appropriately stunned. Word has it Black was treated for dehydration and is doing fine, and will continue on the show this week.

Sharon Osbourne Dishes on Piers Morgan and Howard Stern

"America's Got Talent" judge Sharon Osbourne chatted with "Extra's" Terri Seymour at The Grove about the show's new judge, Howard Stern, and her recent Twitter feud with Piers Morgan over Madonna's Super Bowl halftime performance.

Osbourne tweeted that she thought Madonna was a queen, to which Morgan replied on Twitter, "Queen of what? Lip-synching?"

Sharon said, "He is such a miserable old Englishman. He needs a good kick in the backside. And I'm the person to do it."


As for Stern taking Piers' place on "America's Got Talent," Osbourne doesn't know what to expect. "I have no idea what kind of judge Howard is going to be -- but if he gets out of line, I'm going to put him in his place... with my foot in his a**!"

Ellen DeGeneres Talks Prop 8 and Responds to Critics

Talk show giant Ellen DeGeneres took a moment on her show to respond to Prop 8 being overturned. In the segment, which will air Wednesday, DeGeneres gave a brief history on Prop 8, explaining, "If you haven't been following it, I'll catch you up -- for a long time, same sex marriage was not legal. Then, here in California, it was legal for like, twenty-five minutes."

She continued, "Then it was not legal again because of something called Prop 8, which banned same-sex marriage. And I'm happy to say that yesterday an appeals court ruled Prop 8 was unconstitutional."
