Don’t you think the President elect and his spouse are smart enough to select a dog for their family. Why doesn’t everyone back off—and to suggest a Pug—everyone knows they can develop breathing problems!

I think that the Obama family is doing a great thing by adopting a rescue baby to give a good home to. I am sure that the new member of their family will get a lot of love and respect and enjoy every minute of it. God Bless you

I REALLY hope they adopt a rescue dog. There are so many dogs, in shelters, all over America being euthanized everyday. They shouldnt buy from a breeder or store when they can adopt! Plus they will be setting a great example!

Definitely get a rescue….we have 4 large rescues (appx. 500 lbs) because nobody wants them. In fact, get a Newfoundland if you can find one. We’ve had 3 and they are the “gentle giants” and absolutely love children. They are also so large that they intimidate most people (even though they won’t hurt anybody). So they are protective but scary to most people!! But be prepared to have brushing sessions. They don’t shed…they just leave hairballs. But they are the best, kindest and one of the most beautiful breeds!! Do some background (or have your staff do it) and you will understand!

I just posted a comment that you should consider a Newfoundland. I forgot to mention that you should ignore the longevity that they say…7-8 years. Two of ours lived to be 14 and our newest is 2. Just take care of them, love them, don’t let them run free in case of accidents(ours never stray though, they’re homebodies) and they will grow up with your children. In fact, small children have ridden them like ponies…they just hang onto the hair and they love it!!

I have the perfect little dog for Senator Obama and his family.

This is THE dog for the girls..
It is a little Bolognese girl who was born September 8, 2008… named Bella.

Bolognese are small (5-10 lbs), white, hypo-allergenic, non-shedding, cuddle dogs that are not aggressive and DO NOT YAP :o) :o) :o)

If I could post a picture.. I would and you would see how adorable they are..

Sincerely,

I suggest a Havanese. They are extremely charismatic, bright, and are hypoalergenic. Also, this would be a nice gesture to the people of Cuba.

Get a Maltese dog. They are adorable and non-alergetic.
The Maltese dog acts big and is small, about 7lbs. They are loveable, smart, and do not shed, because they have hair, like humans.

:) I know all this because I loved my little Lizzie, the Maltese, for sixteen-years. My best friend is gone to heaven now - and so missed.

They should get a Bichon as they are great for people with allergies. They do not shed as they have hair instead of fur. Also they are very loving and want to be around you. This would be the best choice. I have one that is 18 yrs. old and still plays with my other bichon that is two. They are Casper and Quincy
