'Making The Band 2'
Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, the music man and clothing connoisseur, has another full time job - talent scout. Combs says, "I consider myself a star maker."
It’s Diddy’s take on reality TV, as he starts his new MTV show, "Making The Band 2." Combs explains, "This takes you on a journey of business life, and how passionate I am, and how crazy I am, how much fun I am."
It’s your backstage pass as Diddy goes in search of the next big hip-hop and R&B group.
The original show set out to find a hot boy band - that’s how O-Town was formed. But this time around Diddy says he's kicking it up a notch. He says, "You see more life things that go on in this show. There have already been pregnancies in this show, death, tragedies, and physical breakdowns. It's very extreme. Hip-hop in itself is a different type of genre then pop music."
Over 125,000 people auditioned. But Puffy tells "Extra" that finding the right talent was a long and difficult process. He says, "At first I was not happy with the talent. I know without a doubt that this group I’m putting together will be one of the next big groups of hip-hop."
With cameras catching almost every professional decision and business move, we also got Puffy to share a personal star secret. He says, "I'm into a hair cut like every two days. I get my manicure and my pedicure done. I pride myself on having good-looking feet as a man."
Maybe you'll get a glimpse of Puffy’s primped paws when "Making The Band 2" premieres on MTV this Saturday.
