'Tadpole'

Oscar Grubman is a renaissance man. He’s well read, fluent in French, and he's 15 years old. Bebe Neuwirth says, "One of my first questions to the director was, ‘How old is the actor who plays Oscar?’"

Aaron Stanford, who plays Oscar, explains, "I’m 25 now. I was 23 when I shot it."

Newcomer Stanford stars opposite Bebe Neuwirth, Sigourney Weaver, and John Ritter in the new comedy "Tadpole." It’s an irreverent look at what some consider the hottest trend on America’s sexual landscape: the older woman/younger man romance.

"Tadpole" presents an extreme case: a 15-year-old boy falls for a forty-something family friend while he's home for the holidays. And that's where the antics begin. It's funny business on film, but both Bebe and Sigourney say these kinds of relationships can seriously work in real life. But Sigourney says the age difference in this onscreen romance may shock some audiences. She says, "It’s more about who Oscar is that these women are falling in love with him than just his age. In that sense it's a little more European than we're used to."

"Tadpole" hits theaters July 19th.
