Rob Campos
It is the latest secret to leap out of the already controversial past of TV Romeo Rob Campos. It’s a videotape obtained exclusively by "Extra" that shows the embattled "For Love Or Money" hunk flunking an earlier audition for the original reality dating series "The Bachelor."
Despite putting on a nice little song and dance, Rob would be passed over by "The Bachelor" producers for millionaire blue-blood Andrew Firestone.
And after finally scoring with "For Love Or Money," Rob has been dogged by scandalous allegations he answered for "Extra" just last week. Among the claims was that he got drunk and groped a female officer while serving in the Marines four years ago. Rob says, "It was something I would hope would remain private. I didn't tell NBC or the producers about it. I also regret that."
But get this: In the homemade audition tape he sent in along with his application form for "The Bachelor," Rob tells an unidentified friend that his military service was his proudest achievement. He says on the tape, "I was almost 29 when I went into the Marine Corps and that's something you can take pride in. It's a great honor."
And now Rob's own words are, ironically, coming back to haunt him.
