Jewel's New Look
Jewel was playing with a sexy new look at Sunday night's NBA basketball final and the singer's sultry makeover might have left some fans wondering what the score is. She says, "I’m having fun going against the typecast that you can’t be smart and sexy at the same time."
The new Jewel is also on display in the new video for "Intuition" from her latest album "0304." She is also on the pages of Blender magazine, striking a steamy pose for the June/July cover. Blender editor Craig Marks says, "She describes her new look as cleavage plus poetry."
Marks says it's one of the most radical transformations the record biz has ever seen. He says, "To go from a really sensitive 'I want to save the world' folkie to a 'get your butts on the dance floor' disco queen is not a common move in the music biz."
Marks says the bye-bye hippie hello hottie image fits Jewel's
fresh new sound. He says, "She decided she wanted people
to dance, get sexy, and have fun."
And that's exactly what Jewel says she's doing with her hot new look. She says, "I’m just having fun playing around with it."
