Jackie Collins' New Book
When it comes to steamy fiction, nobody writes
a sex scene better than Jackie Collins. But the characters
in her new book are more than make-believe.
Sex, celebrities, mystery, and mayhem -- it's the wild world that exists in places like Hollywood, the Hamptons, and in a Jackie Collins novel.
Says Jackie, "People tell me everything, and I have to tone down what they tell me."
After selling more than three hundred million copies of notoriously naughty novels, Jackie knows how to turn her readers on. She returns to that racy recipe in "Deadly Embrace." And she says the novel has quite a few kernels of truth in it.
"Deadly Embrace" features an arrogant young actor, based on a number of superstar Gen X'ers Jackie won't name. She says, "I know so many. They think they walk on water."
This diva of racy writing gets her inspiration through years of access to A-listers.
Take former power couple J-Lo and Sean Combs, for example. "J-Lo got as far away as she could, but there is still that spark. It's like a scene from my book. They will get back together."
But Jackie worries about another hot Hollywood couple who are denying recent rumors they've hit the skids.
"Pam and Kid Rock. I think it's over, because he made a comment about her children. To a woman, her children come before all else, and I think that will ultimately destroy them."
That could just provide the fodder Jackie needs for her next book, "Hollywood Divorces."
