Steven Seagal

In "Exit Wounds," and a string of hits, Steven Seagal plays an action avenger fighting criminals with a unique brand of martial arts mayhem. But now the actor has reportedly become the victim of extortion, and the accused are members of the Gambino crime family. The brothers of imprisoned godfather John Gotti are two of the men under arrest for the alleged Hollywood extortion.

Katee Cornell Smith is a New York Post crime reporter. She says Julius Nasso is the key defendant in the case. A longtime partner of Seagal, Nasso actually produced "Under Siege 2" and six other Seagal films, but is now suing the action star for backing out of future projects.

Nasso's attorneys say the producer did nothing wrong and suggest Seagal might just be trying to get even with his former partner. The soft-spoken tough guy has nothing to say about this case. Now if he's really out for justice, it will be to the courts to save the day.
