In his new comedy, "Anchorman, The Legend
of Ron Burgundy," Will Ferrell takes viewers back to
a time when men where men and news was exclusively a man’s
job.
It was a breeze for Will Ferrell to step
into the white patent leather shoes of "Ron Burgundy"
for his new film, because as he told "Extra," he
actually worked as a sportscaster in college. So who’s a better
newscaster -- Will Ferrell or Ron Burgundy? "Probably
Ron," Ferrell admitted to us. "You can't argue with
Ron Burgundy's delivery, it's confident, he’s very sure of
himself."
While Ferrell told us that the hardest part of the movie was
keeping a straight face on set with co-star Christina Applegate,
a fact confirmed by outtakes showing the cast busting each
other up in the middle of takes.
But Christina revealed another "Anchorman"
challenge: the '70 wardrobe -- especially the clothes worn
by the guys. "The clothes were hideous," she revealed.
"The guys were warm, dripping, sweaty, stinky, ugly,
bad colors."
You can see a hilarious Will Ferrell (with and withou clothes)
on the big screen when "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron
Burgundy" hits theaters July 9th. And for a look at more
hilarious outtakes and behind the scenes antics, don’t miss
the upcoming "Anchorman" special on Cinemax to see
just how much fun Will and Christina had.
