Handsome football player Jason Sehorn has a game plan to change lives. "Extra" joined the NFL star at the Beaches Resort in sun-kissed Ocho-Rios, Jamaica, where Sehorn and stars like Frankie Muniz, Derek Luke and Trista and Ryan gave 16 hard-working single mothers and their kids a weekend to remember.
"To see their faces, to experience this experience is beyond words," Jason admitted.
"It's nice that I can come out and give them something special to remember and help out in any way I can," Muniz added.
The stars and single-mother families were in Jamaica courtesy of "Sehorn's Corner," a charity foundation Sehorn started with his wife, Angie Harmon. Both are children of single parents.
"People who have everything, they don't really know what its like to live with four people in two bedrooms or to live in a place with no doors," Sehorn told us.
Jason's own mom struggled to raise him and his brother alone after their father left the family. And Sehorn said the painful memories make him a better father to his 8-month-old daughter. "I'm going to be there for her," he insisted. "I'm going to raise her with her mom. I'm going to support her."
As for Jason's mom, she told us that just seeing her son with the kids was the highlight of her weekend, saying, "He is reminding the children to break the cycle, let's have fun together."
And fun is exactly what the 16 single moms and their kids had,
including Denise Cook, who couldn't believe she'd been whisked
away to paradise: "I feel like I'm dreaming, but it's the
real thing, and a real pick-me-up that Jason is providing for
these families."
