Hollywood Mommies
Courteney Cox got an early 40th birthday present as she and her husband, David Arquette, became parents to daughter, Coco, early Sunday morning. People magazine broke the story, but only "Extra" was with "Friends" co-star Matthew Perry to tell him the happy news.
"I'm thrilled," he told us. "I guess I have to go to the hospital later and say hi to the new family."
"Extra" spotted Courteney at an LA party looking very uncomfortable on Friday night, and less than 24 hours later, she went into labor and checked into the hospital, according to People's Senior Editor Cynthia Sanz. "The baby actually came a little bit early -- she was actually due next week," Sanz revealed.
Coco's birth marked the end of the couple's long and painful struggle to conceive, a topic they made public last year on ABC's "20/20." "They'd suffered several miscarriages, but it's ended well," Sanz told us.
Courteney's spokesperson says both mom and baby are doing well.
And there's more must-see baby news: "Will & Grace"
star Debra Messing was spotted cuddling with
2-month old son, Roman, while waiting for friend Camryn Manheim
at an LA Starbucks. With two months until she goes back to work,
it looks like mommy Messing is enjoying her new role.
And former morning anchor Joan Lunden and husband,
Jeff Konigsberg, had their hands full at the first birthday
party for their twins, Max and Kate, this weekend. Deborah Bolig,
the surrogate mom of the twins, was also at the bash, which
featured a juggling unicyclist, balloon animals and a cake with
a picture of the twins on it.
