Jessica's Road Show Rolls On
What kind of birthday gift do you give a woman who's a pop star, a TV star and a sex symbol? Yeah, we don't know either. So instead, Jessica Simpson gave
"Extra" something -- an all-access pass to her behind the scenes of her nationwide tour.
"Hopefully you won't see me fall on my
face or forget the words to my song," Simpson told us as
we hooked up with her in Orlando, six days into her new concert
tour.
But Simpson admitted she's even more excited about her upcoming
24th birthday: "I just hope Nick gets to be there. That's
my birthday wish, is I'll get to be with my husband."
MTV's celebrated "Newlyweds" are temporarily unhitched
as Jessica goes out to work while Nick plays house-hubby, although
Jessica insisted, "He likes to do that kind of thing, and
I like to shop."
But Jessica has a hunch she'll be getting her wish and seeing
Nick on July 10th for her birthday: "I think Nick's planning
some kind of party, but the MTV crews will not be with us, so
it won't be something that everybody sees."
In fact, Jessica admitted that she doesn't even know herself
what viewers will be seeing on the new season of "Newlyweds."
"I'm going to watch with everyone else," she admitted.
"We'll see how they edit my life the past five months."
The brand new season of "Newlyweds" begins Wednesday
night on MTV, while, Jessica's tour continues across the nation.
