'American Juniors'

It's a miniature "American Idol." FOX searches for the country's best pint size performers in "American Juniors."

Executive producer Ken Warrick says although "American Juniors" is an "American Idol" spin-off, and there's talk Paula Abdul is in the running to host, there won't be any of Simon’s cruel criticism with the kids. Warrick says, "There will be no judges, no Simon Cowell telling them they are bad or anything like that."

But there will be plenty of drama as the little ones dare to dream and their bitter stage parents sound off backstage.

The nationwide search of thousands will be ultimately be whittled down to five and the lucky five will become a new pop group.

Kids coast to coast will get their shot on this summer's hottest talent show, "American Juniors."
