Donnie Wahlberg

TV hit “Boomtown" just nabbed the prestigious Peabody Award, and lead actor Donnie Wahlberg dropped by Hollywood and Highland to give “Extra” the inside scoop on the series.

With a Peabody Award, a new season, and a new Friday night time slot, the critically acclaimed NBC cop drama "Boomtown" will be back this fall with a bang.

Donnie Wahlberg will return as Joel Stevens, a detective who’s found himself at the center of an internal affairs investigation. And word has it the lovely Vanessa Williams will be shaking things up on the show as a 10-episode guest star, bringing with her a heavy dose of sex appeal.

Donnie says, “We're already fighting over who is going to be her love interest. It’s going to be fun because she's going to be a sort of an antagonistic character to us.”

Tune in for all the action this fall.
