Katie is returning to the small screen -- this time on the quirky ABC fave, "Eli Stone," reports EW. Mrs. Tom Cruise is set to film her one-episode gig later this month.

With this casting stunt (and sure ratings-booster), Suri's mom is reuniting with her former "Dawson's Creek" boss, Greg Berlanti -- exec producer of "Stone." She'll then head to Broadway for her role in "All My Sons."

When Britney Spears guest-starred on "How I Met Your Mother," the CBS show saw its highest ratings ever.

Isn't it nice when exes can get along? Tom Cruise celebrated the birth of Nicole Kidman's baby girl by sending her baby gifts, reports People.

Kidman, who gave birth to Sunday Rose Kidman Urban in Nashville on Monday, was showered with flowers and a gigantic baby basket, which included expensive chenille giraffe baby blankets and Hermes baby gifts. The presents were from the entire Cruise family, including from Tom and Nicole's children, 15-year-old Bella and 13-year-old Connor.

Nicole welcomed her new baby girl with husband Keith Urban by her side through the entire delivery. "We feel immensely blessed and grateful to be given this beautiful baby girl," the couple said.

Rosie and Kelli Put Split Rumors to Rest!

0630rosie.jpg

Controversial former talk queen Rosie O'Donnell is rumored to be splitting from longtime partner Kelli Carpenter, reports the NY Post. Carpenter is a former marketing exec with Nickelodeon who co-founded the "R Family Vacations" with O'Donnell.

The couple married four years ago in San Francisco, only to have their union ruled invalid by the California Supreme Court, which recently reversed that decision. Rosie is currently touring with Cyndi Lauper, and sources are telling "Extra" that reports of her splitting with Kelli are FALSE. In fact, the two will be together on a family cruise next week!

A few weeks ago, Rosie blogged about tying the knot with Kelli again -- when gay marriage becomes legal across the U.S. The two have four children -- Parker Jaren, 13, Chelsea Belle, 10, Blake Christopher, 8, and Vivienne Rose, 5.

Queen of Interviews Meets King

Barbara Walters appeared on the set of "Larry King Live" last night -- opening another round in her war with Star Jones! While Walters remains mum about a Star summit -- she didn't shy away from taking another swipe at her former co-host while on the hot seat with the King of interviews. "She lost a job, she's getting a divorce," said Barbara, "I think she's suffering now and that's why she's lashing out."

"Extra" cameras caught up with Barbara outside of the King's studio, where she expressed more sympathy than anger for her former co-host.

The broadcast icon claims that Star's first salvo was launched after Walters went public with claims that "The View" covered up Star's gastric bypass surgery. "We made a mistake -- we should have told the truth about Star from day one," said Barbara, "she said, 'I don't want to be a poster child for Keep Reading...

Rosie Responds

0507rosie.jpg

Rosie O'Donnell is known for her fierce opinions -- but when it comes to former "View" boss Barbara Walters, Rosie harbors no bad feelings. "I love her," O'Donnell wrote on her recently upgraded website.

Barbara's surprising tell-all with Oprah this week might have inspired Rosie to respond to things Walters said about her. Walters told Winfrey she believed Rosie boosted ratings on "The View" -- with her vitriol! Barbara said, "the audience tuned in every day to see who [Rosie] was going to hate."

While the former co-hosts may butt heads on certain issues, they do bear a certain respect. Walters told Oprah that she would "always have the greatest affection for [Rosie.]"

Rosie Weighs in on Miley

0429cyrusodonnell.jpg

Teen queen Miley Cyrus has at least one defender - actress/blogger Rosie O'Donnell has posted a video encouraging the support of Cyrus through this Vanity Fair photo shoot ordeal.

Rosie, who has experience working with photographer Annie Leibovitz, talks about the risqué photos and the woman behind the camera. "Annie Leibovitz -- I had two photo shoots with her," says O'Donnell, "You kind of do what she says. It's intimidating."

The former "View" hostess also chastised the public for the backlash heaped on the 15-year-old Disney sensation, putting responsibility for the pictures squarely on Leibovitz. "I also don't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity... it was a sort of beautiful portrait," says O'Donnell. "It's Annie Leibovitz's people -- leave Miley Cyrus alone."

Good Morning, Rosie!

0408rosie.jpg

Rosie O'Donnell is back to the little screen. The outspoken star appeared on "Good Morning America" today; her first live interview since leaving "The View." The boxing gloves weren't on though - the celebrated blogger is admittedly "calmer" than in her co-hosting days.

Notorious for her strong opinions and for clashing with equally opinionated "View" host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, O'Donnell had no regrets for 8-month stint on the gabfest, stating only that Hasselbeck is "very young" -- and described life at her age as "black and white."

Rosie dished about her wish for an Obama/Clinton dream ticket, her refusal to ever Dance with the Stars, and her passion for beer -- how she "drinks it like water" but gave up brew to cut back on calories, and to watch her health! The mother of four also empathizes with Britney, saying how she'd "do anything to help" with Brit's bipolar battles, and that the "young mother needs nothing but love and positivity."

Rosie and Sam Harris: Blog Politics

Singer and Internet blogger Sam Harris had one of the entertainment industry's most notorious video bloggers as a guest on his weekly vlog; Rosie O'Donnell.

Madonna Throws Star-Studded Charity Bash

0207madonna.jpg

Only one woman can bring together the biggest stars in the world: Madonna.

The Material Girl hosted a star-studded event last night in New York that brought millions of dollars to UNICEF and her non-profit organization, Raising Malawi, the country where she adopted a son.

"My long term goal is that if we can raise Malawi then we can do that in a lot of other places," Madonna explained to "Extra."

As for adopting again, she revealed, "I can handle a few more!"

Miss M's adoring daughter Lourdes stood by her famous mom's side and said lovingly, "I'm pretty proud." Lourdes knows how hard Mom worked to get Donald Trump, P. Diddy, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Billy and Katie Lee Joel and more all together for one night.

"She's been stressed!" Lourdes admitted.

Even a very-pregnant Jennifer Lopez came with husband Marc Anthony.

Rosie Headed to Broadway?

She may have just been named the Most Annoying Celebrity of 2007, but Rosie O'Donnell isn't letting that stop her.

Rosie may be taking her show on the road - to Broadway!

Reports say the former "View" co-host, 45, has already started rehearsing a one-woman show based on her life story.

Rosie Blogs on Brit in Eerie Comparison to Princess Di

Rosie O'Donnell is drawing chilling comparisons between Britney Spears and fallen Princess Diana.

The former "View" co-host, clearly troubled by Britney's latest meltdowns, writes on her blog that Britney may be heading down the same path as Diana, who died in a Paris car crash after being chased by paparazzi.

She writes, "She will be trying to get away, but they will chase her, just as they chased her into that church yesterday. There were dozens of them, jostling their way into sanctuary, elbowing past each other, just to creep closer to her. Even her last-minute, folded-hand prayers can't be kept sacred. There can be no silent moments in a crowd; no silence, and no secrets."

Rosie clearly points the finger at the photographers and calls Britney a "baby girl," acknowledging that Brit, 26, never had much of a childhood.

Rosie Sends Elisabeth Baby Gifts

Their infamous feud may have led to a major shakeup on "The View," but all is well between Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Rosie bought new mom Elisabeth and her son Taylor Thomas a baby gift, reports People, and even said, "Peace prevails."

"There is a standard newborn gift pack - as much as you can buy at the Gap without being arrested," Rosie said. She gave Elisabeth's two-year-old daughter Grace a tea set and added that she still emails Elisabeth.

Trump's Book Beats Rosie's on Best-Seller List

1018trump.jpg

The Donald has trumped Rosie O'Donnell in the battle of the books.

His new book, "Think Big and Kick Ass," hit 49 on Amazon's best-seller list today.

Rosie's tell-all "Celebrity Detox" came in at 84!

"Extra" found him gloating at a Border's Books, where he quipped, "My book's only out one day. It just came out, and we're killing her! And I'm happy about that."

Ellen to be Muzzled Over Canine Controversy

Ellen DeGeneres will announce on her show today that she'll stop publicly fighting to win Iggy the dog back from an animal shelter.

In an episode taped yesterday and set to air today, Ellen tells the audience, "It's gotten out of hand...but you don't resort to violence. So anybody out there, please stop that."

Yesterday the woman who owns the shelter that took Ellen's dog back said she feared for her life after receiving numerous death threats.

Trump Continues to Slam Rosie

Rosie and Madonna Have Girls' Night Out in NYC

"Extra" spotted Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna out in New York enjoying a night on the town, taking in a movie and swatting away the paparazzi.

But Rosie doesn't want fans to get the wrong idea.

She writes in the first chapter of "Celebrity Detox" that she and Madonna are just friends and have never been anything more.

"We were sisters from the moment we met," she writes. "There was never anything sexual about it."

Joy Behar: 'Rosie and I Are Still Friends'

Rosie O'Donnell might not be making many friends with her new book "Celebrity Detox," but she has one pal in her corner -- Joy Behar.

The "View" co-host attended last night's exhibition of Rosie's artwork, "Rosie O'Donnell: Solace-Paintings 2003-2005," in New York City.

When asked about the event and her friendship with O'Donnell, Behar said, "It was great to see Rosie last night. We've been emailing each other and this was the first opportunity we've had to finally see each other. I hope this alleviates the concern amongst our fans who were worried that we might not still be friends. Her paintings are so original."

Trump Says Rosie's Book is 'Boring'

Donald Trump is once again taking aim at Rosie O'Donnell, this time at her controversial book, "Celebrity Detox."

Trump told "Extra," "The book is boring and has no educational value. Rosie is very unkind to Barbara Walters who saved her dying career. She is a very disloyal person."

In the book, Rosie writes that 78-year-old Barbara should retire. She also recounts in the book one particularly bitter conversation with Barbara regarding her fight with Trump.
