"Extra" correspondent AJ Calloway traveled all the way to South Africa to help Oprah Winfrey celebrate the first graduation ceremony of Oprah's Leadership Academy for Girls.
Oprah marveled, "Can you believe it? And not only are 100 percent graduating, 100 percent are also going to college!"

Calloway asked her if she was going to build another academy. The talk show host said, "No, you will not see another... well, maybe you will. Starting from scratch is hard. Whether you're building a network or building a school, starting from scratch is hard."
An emotional and proud Oprah Winfrey celebrated the first graduating class of The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa on Saturday.

One hundred percent of the graduates have been accepted to college or university, and more than a dozen have received full scholarships.
Oprah Winfrey traveled to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on Monday, where the network queen and philanthropist toured an encampment for displaced Haitians struggling to recover from the devastating 2010 earthquake.

Escorted by security guards, the Oprah walked through the area, which was once a golf course, with Sean Penn -- who helped create J/P Human Relief Organization -- an aid group that provides support to residents of the encampment.
OWN has announced Oprah Winfrey's new primetime series, "Oprah's Next Chapter," will debut with a two-hour premiere on January 1. The show will feature Aerosmith's Steven Tyler at his New Hampshire home and will cover everything from his years of drug addiction to his complicated love life, and "American Idol."

"Oprah's Next Chapter" will feature the talk show queen outside the studio setting, and having conversations with newsmakers, celebrities, leaders and real-life families.

An emotional Winfrey, 57, was given the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, and said to the crowd, "It's unimaginable I would be standing before you, voted by the Board of Governors. When I say thank you, it comes from a deeper place than I know, 'cause it's not from me, it's from everyone who made me possible."
In a rare sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, fashion mogul Ralph Lauren opened up about his success as a designer in an event held at NYC's Lincoln Center to raise money for The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention. "An Evening with Ralph Lauren," which honored Lauren's commitment to breast cancer care and research, raised a whopping $7 million.

During the sit-down, Lauren told Oprah, "I love what I do and I know you love what you do."
