Things are getting "Ugly" for actress Lindsay Lohan -- a rep for ABC announced that the once wayward "Mean Girls" star will guest-star on the hit show, "Ugly Betty," Us Weekly reports.

Lohan will play Betty's (America Ferrera) high school friend in a series of flashbacks. An on-set source dishes, "Lindsay and America really hit it off!"

Lindsay, best known for her hard-partying antics and rehab stints, seems to be singing a new tune. The actress was ready to shoot on "Betty" from day one. "Lindsay arrived on set 45 minutes early," says a source.

The actress will appear in multiple episodes of the show, with the first show airing May 22.

Lindsay Lohan has signed on for a chilling role as one of Charles Manson's cult followers in the movie "Manson Girls," reports E! Online. The rehabbed former party girl, 21, will play Nancy Pitman, a member of the murderous sect.

The "I Know Who Killed Me" starlet will be seen in another dark role this weekend -- her film, "Chapter 27," opens in limited release and examines the life of Mark David Chapman, the obsessed fan who murdered John Lennon.

Next, she'll change gears and finish up her new CD, with which she hopes to tour. "It's more of a dance-vibe, so this one I want to go big with," Lindsay told "Extra."

Lindsay Lohan's ex-BF, Calum Best, is denying the former couple is at the center of a new sex tape scandal.

A grainy picture -- purported to be a screen grab from a steamy home video of the reformed bad girl -- made the Web rounds this week, and reports quickly surfaced that Best was behind it. "It is definitely not Calum," his spokesman told U.K.'s The Sun.

Lindsay and Calum dated briefly in 2007.

Lindsay Lohan’s infamous party antics, which include two DUIs, three stints in rehab at the not-so-tender age of 21, and a couple of car crashes -- may have driven her modeling career into a brick wall.

A London paper is reporting LiLo’s been dropped as the face of fashion label Jill Stuart because she “doesn’t have the right image.” In her place – Oscar winner Hilary Swank! Lindsay’s multiple Razzies for “I Know Who Killed Me” don’t hold quite the cache of an Oscar.

A source close to the designer told the paper, “She thinks Hilary Swank would be the ideal choice because she is that little bit older, and incredibly well respected in the acting industry.”

Michael, Dina and Ali Lohan showed up for the WE Network's "High School Confidential" premiere last night, marking one of the first times the divorced parents have been spotted together since their rancorous split.

Dina talked about her upcoming reality show on E!, telling us, "Initially it was about Ali and her career, but of course, they're like, 'You're the glue that holds the family together.'"

When asked about Dina's new venture, Michael said, "I'm not going to participate -- I didn't see it. I'm sure I will see it when it comes on air. I wish them the best."

Lindsay Lohan is paying homage to Marilyn Monroe in a racy new spread in New York magazine .

The party-girl, 21, is sexy, sultry and totally naked for the Feb. 25 issue, which recreates Marilyn’s infamous “Last Sitting.”

The spread was shot by the same photographer who took the original Marilyn pics in 1962, the year she died. Legendary lensman Bert Stern recreated the shoot down to the very last details.

"I was comfortable with it,” she says of the nudity, adding that she did about 250 crunches the night before the shoot to get camera ready.

But how does Lindsay feel about the eerie connection between Marilyn's untimely death at age 36 and Heath Ledger's death at 28? Both died of drug overdoses.

"They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone," she says. As for herself, "I sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me."

A newly-brunette Lindsay Lohan made an appearance at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy party, and spoke only to 'Extra.'

Wearing Catherine Malandrino, Lindsay told us that she is keeping a low profile, gearing up to film a movie and record an album.

Lindsay also sent her best wishes to former party pal Britney Spears, saying "I wish everyone the best."

Lindsay Lohan is finally opening up about her wild ways, double DUI's and stint in jail, and she has one thing to say about it: "What was I thinking?"

Lindsay, 21, tells the new issue of Harper's Bazaar that her father Michael's absence from her life may have contributed to her downward spiral into booze and drugs.

"Not seeing my father was really hard for me, and not being with my family enough," she explains. "I wasn’t taking any time to just sit and live and breathe."

But a stint in Utah's Cirque Lodge helped her on the road to sobriety.

"Being away and going to a place where I could learn about that and take the time with a clear mind to get back on the right track was nice," she says.

Lindsay Lohan is about to complete the next step of her community service - in a morgue.

The starlet, as part of her sentence for misdemeanor drunk driving, must spend two, 4-hour days in a morgue in an effort to show what can happen if someone drinks and drives. Next she'll spend two days working in an emergency room.

Lindsay, 21, made a plea agreement in August on her two separate DUI incidents. Since then, she's completed rehab, donated time at the Red Cross and spent 84 minutes in jail.

Michael Lohan, no stranger to intense scrutiny, is speaking out about the Spears family in light of 16-year-old Jamie Lynn's pregnancy announcement.

“People just don’t realize what it’s like to live under the whirlwind that families like mine and the Spears and other families out there are caught up in," Lohan told "Extra." "It takes a lot to hold it together.”

But he does offer some words of wisdom. “Stand together," he insisted. "Stand by each other and don’t let anyone come between you.”

Lohan also cleared up rumors that Lindsay is dating "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier.

“He’s a friend. She went over there for dinner one night over the holidays for an hour or so. They drank water and she went home,” he said.

As for Lindsay, “She’s doing amazingly well.”

In just one year, Michael Lohan’s life has changed dramatically.

“Last year, I was sitting on a steel bench on a steel table with a steel tray eating a turkey dinner in prison. This year, I am blessed to be out here doing good things, surrounded by the right people, places and things,” he says.

Michael has turned his life around since leaving prison and reconciling with his famous daughter. “Extra” caught up with Michael at the New York City Rescue Mission, where he says he and Lindsay are on the right track – and they’re even a family again.

“I'm glad Lindsay's back here in New York with her family and she has her mom and dad, who both support her,” he says.

Lindsay Lohan checked in to Lynwood Jail this morning - and left just over an hour later.

According to the L.A. Sheriff's website, she checked in at 10:30 a.m. and checked out at 11:54 a.m.

Her brief time in jail stems from her two DUI convictions. Lindsay, 21, was ordered to complete 10 days of community service and spend two days behind bars. However, she was given credit for one day in jail following her July arrest. Nicole Richie was given a similar deal when she pleaded guilty to DUI. She served just over an hour in jail, too.

Lindsay began her community service at the American Red Cross this week.

Lindsay Lohan’s mom, Dina, has landed a reality show, and filming is set to begin in days.

The still-untitled show, which will air on E!, will follow Dina and her younger daughter Ali around New York City and Long Island.

“There are so many misconceptions about me and my family,” Dina tells People. “I’m setting the record straight.”

“Extra” spoke exclusively to Michael Lohan as he promoted the faith-based event “GodMen,” but the interview turned personal when talked turned to Lindsay.

“All I’ll say is that she’s in the right place in her heart and mind and soul,” Michael said. He and Lindsay rekindled their strained relationship once she entered rehab at the Cirque Lodge this summer.

Their new relationship has “been a blessing. I feel blessed by being back in her life. I feel blessed that she’s back on the right path, that she’s found the right place in her life. She’s a blessed kid.”

Michael is also giving his blessing to Lindsay’s new beau, skateboarder Riley Giles.

A new report says Lindsay Lohan may be returning to the club scene just weeks after leaving rehab.

There are reports that Lindsay, 21, will host a New Year’s bash at LAX in Sin City, though sources tell “Extra” she may take the mic at PURE Nightclub.

However, Lindsay is reportedly not happy about her new gig.

The starlet is reportedly contractually obligated to fulfill her hosting duties in Vegas, which were scrapped following her stint in rehab. She was reportedly paid upward of $100,000 for a canceled gig at PURE for her 21st birthday.
