Duluth, Minnesota isn't used to hosting stars -- but when George Clooney and Renée Zellweger stopped by, the town pulled out all the stops! The "Leatherheads" stars lit up Duluth, thanking the city for its role in the football comedy. George, who directed the film, also visited Maysville, Kentucky -- his hometown. "This is a home for us," he told an audience before the film's screening, "and we're very proud to be able to bring this back full circle."

George and his famous family -- father Nick, a broadcaster, and his late aunt Rosemary, a singer-actress -- grew up in Maysville, and it was in the same town 50 years ago that one of Rosemary's movies premiered. In fact, the river city hasn't had a premiere since, and Universal Pictures had to bring in a screen, projector and sound system for the event!

Maysville Mayor David Cartmell proclaimed it "Renée Zellweger Day," adding, "Since Renée took this day, we thought we would proclaim every day in Maysville to be George Clooney Day."

There were rumors that George Clooney would be putting on his scrubs one more time for "E.R.," but George is telling "Extra" he has no plans to return to the NBC drama. "The truth of the matter is they wouldn't ask, and there really would be no reason for it."

Clooney is focused on his football comedy "Leatherheads," starring Renée Zellweger and John Krasinski. As the director and star of the film, which hits theaters April 14, George took some major hits. "There were a couple of really dumb moments," he explained. "The first day I just got laid out by a young kid... and I've got four more months of this! So then I put out a rule: don't hit the director."

George's orders didn't keep Renée and John from taking some off-the-field shots at the man behind the camera. "He's much better as a boss than as a friend, that's for sure. Hack!" Renée joked. Added John, "He's the worst. He is just the worst. As far as the camera goes, you usually want to point it towards the actors."

Still, Renée told "Extra" she's just lucky to be in the film. "He lost a bet," Renée said about being cast. "Pool. It was pool!" George teased, "The truth was there were so many other actresses I wanted to hire, but I did lose."

Say it ain't so!

Is infamous bachelor George Clooney really engaged?

Things are definitely heating up between Hollywood's most dashing leading man and his girlfriend Sarah Larson. The pair were guests of honor at the Dubai International Film Festival, where one prominent photo agency described Larson as Clooney's fiancée!

However, we talked to Clooney's rep, and he assured us there is no engagement. It was just a mistake on the agency's part.

George Clooney found himself in an all-out war with the paparazzi this weekend after a scuffle turned serious.

George, usually one of Hollywood’s most courteous when it comes to the shutterbugs, was riding his motorcycle when a paparazzo continued to follow and harass him.

Eventually, George turned to the cops for help and even took down the offending lensman’s license number.

Dozens of employees at the hospital where George Clooney was treated after his motorcycle accident have been suspended pending an investigation into the leak of his medical information to the press.

Officials from the Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey have suspended 27 workers for one month without pay for allegedly peaking at George’s files. Eyebrows were raised after the press accurately reported the extent of George's injuries, though he was only in the hospital for a few hours.

A hospital spokesman said it hasn’t been determined if the workers actually released his information, but accessing it is a federal violation in itself.

George and his girlfriend Sarah Larson were injured when their motorcycle collided with a car. He suffered a broke rib and skin abrasions; she a broken foot.

Now, good-hearted George is speaking out on behalf of the workers, pleading with the hospital to show mercy!

"This is the first I've heard of it," Clooney, 46, said in a statement. "And while I very much believe in a patient's right to privacy, I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers."

Clooney arrived with his rumored girlfriend, Sarah Larson, who was also on Clooney’s bike when it crashed last Friday.

Clooney spoke to “Extra’s” special correspondent, Jill Rappaport, about the accident.

On Larson receiving a black eye, Clooney said, “We are hiding it with makeup. It looks like I socked her a couple times.”

Clooney revealed that the studio behind his film currently in production might be upset that he was riding a motorcycle and jokes, “I’m not suppose to be on a motorcycle, I think I am in trouble now.”

The first photos surfaced today of George Clooney in New York, recovering from his motorcycle crash. The actor’s arm and hands were bandaged up.

Meanwhile, “Extra” got new video of George’s girlfriend on crutches this afternoon, as well as new details of their frightening accident.

Jerry Zaslavsky and his wife not only saw Clooney crash his rented Harley Davidson, Clooney left the $18,000 bike with them before rushing off in an ambulance to receive treatment for his fractured rib and girlfriend Sarah Larson’s broken foot.

Clooney reportedly met Sarah in June in Las Vegas.

"George Clooney was involved in a motorcycle accident this afternoon after the bike he was riding was hit by a car. He was treated for a hairline fracture of a rib and road rash at Palisades Medical Center in Palisades, NJ.

Sarah Larson, who was riding on the motorcycle with Clooney, suffered a broken foot.

Clooney and Larson were released shortly after entering the facility."

George Clooney broke hearts everywhere yesterday when he was spotted publicly kissing a young mystery gal at the Venice Film Festival.

Now “Extra” can reveal the "mystery girl" is 28-year-old Sarah Larson, a waitress who once ate a scorpion on TV’s “Fear Factor!”

George must like daredevils, because Sarah’s stomach-turning moments from the 2005 season included swallowing the creepy-crawly and hanging upside down over the Vegas strip.

Sarah has worked at a waitress at Palms hot spot Ghostbar and Moon nightclub for almost three years.

“Extra” has also discovered that it was in Sin City that George and Sarah first met, when “Ocean’s 13” premiered in June at the Palms.

Now sources tell us she’s already part of the gang and has won the hearts of George’s friends.

George Clooney is revealing secrets from this summer’s most anticipated sequel, and only “Extra” is on the set of “Ocean’s 13” with the star!

This summer, George, Brad and the conmen crew are out for revenge when new rival Willy Bank, played by Al Pacino, stiffs the clan on a business deal.

Joked George, “This is a film about revenge, which I like a lot.”

“Extra” was behind the scenes with jokester George, who revealed that co-star Matt Damon is trying to seduce stunner Ellen Barkin in the film!

“We use Matt as a sex kitten in this one,” he explained.
