“Grey’s Anatomy” star T.R. Knight presented Ellen with the award, and he hailed her as an inspiration.

Ellen Cancels Taping, Keith Urban Steps In

Ellen DeGeneres canceled yesterday’s taping of her show, but country crooner Keith Urban stepped in to give the scheduled audience an impromptu performance.

Keith was on his way to the studio for rehearsal when he heard Ellen’s announcement that she’d be taking a long weekend following her emotionally-draining dog controversy.

Instead of heading home when he heard the news, The Tennessean is reporting that Keith rocked out to Ellen’s studio audience of about 400 people.

After he finished his set, he reportedly said, “We all love her, and God bless her.”

Ellen to be Muzzled Over Canine Controversy

Ellen DeGeneres will announce on her show today that she’ll stop publicly fighting to win Iggy the dog back from an animal shelter.

In an episode taped yesterday and set to air today, Ellen tells the audience, “It’s gotten out of hand…but you don’t resort to violence. So anybody out there, please stop that.”

Yesterday the woman who owns the shelter that took Ellen’s dog back said she feared for her life after receiving numerous death threats.

Barbara Walters on Rosie: 'We Hope She'll Stay On'

Amidst ongoing rumors of tension on the set of “The View,” Barbara Walters is setting the record straight about the hit morning show and one of its controversial co-hosts, Rosie O’Donnell.

“You can't do a show everyday with four people like us if we don't like each other,” Walters insisted. “I don't know if Rosie is going to stay on when her contract is up. I'm not sure Rosie knows. We hope she will stay on.”

Barbara also broke news about her Sunday night Oscar special.

At home with Ellen DeGeneres and girlfriend Portia de Rossi, Walters got the Oscar host to open up about her future.

Ellen 'Honored' To Host Academy Awards

Daytime’s dancing queen just landed the hottest gig in Hollywood, and "Extra’s" Jon Kelley stopped by the set of Ellen’s daytime talk fest to chat about her date with Oscar next February.

"It's something I always wanted to do, and I’m honored they asked me to do it," Ellen said. "To feel like someone's putting that kind of show in your hands and trusting you and saying, 'We think you're able to do this,’ you can't get a bigger compliment than that."

And the compliments keep on coming.

"Today, I got flowers from Steven Spielberg saying what a smart choice that was and congratulations to the academy," Ellen revealed.

DeGeneres is no stranger to hosting awards shows. "The Emmys were definitely hard," she revealed. "But the Grammys were just fun because it's music. I want the show to be really, really funny, but I want to celebrate it. I don’t want to be cynical about it."
