Britney 'Rocks the Cradle'

0508spears.jpg

Spears surprised the rocker spawn contestants of MTV's "Rock the Cradle," by showing up to the season finale on Thursday night to support manager and friend Larry Rudolph, a judge on the show.

"She was here to support the show. I mentioned to her that I was going to my show -- she said 'I want to come down.' She loved it," Rudolph tells Us Weekly, "She came here because she wanted to see the show, which I appreciated."

Brit visited the show, which pits the kids of famous musicians against each other in a musical battle, fresh from a day with her own kids, Jayden James and Sean Preston. They might be future contestants!

Spears was recently granted more visitation time with her tots after a clean-cut court appearance earlier this week.

Tot Tips for Sis from Brit

Jamie Lynn Spears not only celebrated her impending motherhood with a baby shower at her family's Louisiana mansion, but she also got to spend some face-time with big sister Britney, who has been a little preoccupied with hospital visits, custody hearings and TV appearances. Jamie, 17, opened up to OK! magazine about her relationship with Britney.

"To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful," said Jamie Lynn. Britney, mother of two, also shared some parenting advice with the teen mom-to-be. "She told me, 'There are going to be some long nights, but it is completely worth it,'" said the "Zoey 101" star.

Britney returned from their Kentwood home to film another episode of "How I Met Your Mother."

Mother's Day with Britney

A clearly rehabilitated Britney Spears will spend Mother's Day with her boys, reports X17online.com. The news comes after a judge granted the pop mom more visitation with her tots, after noting what K-Fed's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan called "progress."

"It is a cautious step, but a step forward nonetheless," said Kaplan, adding, "We are seeing signs of progress, and consistency over time is something welcome by Kevin. The children are doing great."

Britney's parents, who helped the star clean up her act after a psychiatric hospitalization and subsequent conservatorship, said, "We are so pleased with Britney's progress, and we are appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress." They'll have a new grandchild next month when Brit's 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn adds another tot to the Spears clan.

Brit Gets More Time with Kids!

Britney has been granted expanded visitation with the kids, the AP is reporting. A judge granted the newly-highlighted pop star's request to spend more time with tykes Sean Preston and Jayden James. X17online.com says lawyers for both Britney and K-Fed were able to come to an agreement.

The decision marks a big change from just months ago, when a judge stripped the troubled singer of all rights, after she reportedly refused to return Jayden to Federline -- and was admitted to the psych ward. But since then, she's made a turnaround under the conservatorship of her father, choosing to stay low-key and focus on rebuilding her career with a small role on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother."

The chaos surrounding the downtown L.A. courthouse was calm in comparison to October's hearings -- except for one excited fan who tried to give Britney a bouquet. Before the superfan could shower her in roses, Brit's bodyguards intervened.

Britney's next custody hearing is set for July 15.

Britney Back in Court

Britney Spears, fresh from a visit to her hometown in Louisiana, arrived at a Los Angeles courtroom this morning for a custody hearing also attended by ex-husband Kevin Federline, concerning their sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1.

The pop princess arrived to the courthouse -- on time! -- in a white Range Rover, joined by attorney Blair Berk. A clean-cut Britney in a polka-dotted dress and cream sweater, was also accompanied by her parents, Jamie and Lynne.

While Spears prepped for her fight to see her tykes more often, "Extra" caught up with a bouquet-bearing fan of Britney, but Brit's driver put the pedal to the metal - leaving the super fan in the dust.

A recent report from the pop couple's child custody evaluator could be presented at the hearing, which may affect Britney's future visitation rights. Still under conservatorship, Britney's father and an attorney remain in control of her affairs until a different court hearing, scheduled for July 31.

Brit Takes a Shower Break

Britney Spears has flown away from her Los Angeles workouts and studio work to return to Kentwood, Louisiana. The re-svelted pop star jetted across the country to attend the Saturday baby shower of baby sister Jamie Lynn, reports Us Weekly.

Mother Lynne was also on hand to celebrate the impending arrival of grandchild number three -- after spending months looking after Brit in the City of Angels. Jamie is due sometime in June.

Brit Back for Another 'Mother'

Yup, she's doing it again! Britney Spears will return to the small screen with another guest stint on "How I Met Your Mother," a source reports to People. Spears, whose first appearance on the show sent ratings skyrocketing, will reprise her role as a ditzy receptionist.

Although CBS has not yet confirmed Brit's return, a source tells People, "The show is ecstatic and so is Britney. She had so much fun the first time around... she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more."

"She was hilarious in the table-read," said cast member Jason Segel. The recovering pop mom is still under her father's court-ordered conservatorship, and her notorious paparazzi-friendly forays to gas stations and Starbucks have been halted. She's now back in the recording studio, and there's talk of a deal to represent Bally's Fitness.

Brit Hit with Lawyer Bills

spears0418.jpg

A Los Angeles court has ordered Britney Spears to pay nearly $400,000 to the lawyers who have been handling her legal affairs for the past three months.

People magazine reports that Samuel Ingham, the pop icon's court-appointed attorney, will continue to receive a $10,000 weekly paycheck, while Andrew Wallet, a co-conservator of Brit's finances, will receive a whopping advance of $100,000.

Papa Jamie Spears will also be advanced $175,000 for handling his daughter's assets since she was hospitalized twice in January. The remaining funds will be received by lawyers representing Bryan Spears, Brit's brother, and her new divorce lawyer.

Britney in Car Accident

Britney Spears was in a minor car accident last night, but police say no one was hurt.

The pop star was driving her 2008 Mercedes on the 405 freeway in stop-and-go traffic when she hit a car in front of her. That car then hit the vehicle in front of it -- but no damage was done to any car.

The California Highway Patrol took a report, but no one was cited.

Britney Stays Home and Plays with Kids!!

For the first time in weeks, Britney Spears was reunited with her babies. The recovering mom spent some quality time with her adorable tots in the front yard of her gated Beverly Hills home. X17online.com speculates that the Britster may be well on the road to recovery -- she reportedly spent the day with SP and JJ without a court-appointed monitor.

Just last week, Britney's former manager Larry Rudolph told "Extra" he thinks Brit will make "the biggest comeback in history," but could furniture sales be part of her grand return? The NY Post says she's gearing up to be the face of a new line of furniture under the direction of Danish celeb broker Claus Hielmbak!

Though reports say Claus has been discussing the deal for months, he denies an agreement is in the works. The two first met back in '07, when he netted Brit a zippy $1 million to host a party at the Scandinavian Style Mansion in L.A.

Britney: Gimme More Swag!

Britney Spears hit up designer Christian Audigier warehouse yesterday for a swagfest! The designer, best known for his Ed Hardy clothing line, invited Brit to take whatever she wanted, and the pop mom was happy to oblige!

"Thanks, Ed," Britney told Christian after he handed her a belt, as seen in this video from X17online.com. It seems that Spears is unaware that Ed Hardy is just Christian's clothing line, not his name.

Momma Lynne accompanied the under conservatorship pop star. It seems Britney had younger sister Jamie Lynn on her mind when she asked if Audigier could send the pregnant "Zoey 101" star some clothes for her 17th birthday (which is today), and for the baby.

As they left, a thankful Britney posed with a fan and watched as staff stuffed her SUV with mounds of clothes. Hopefully, Audigier threw in some free panties.

Brit Back for Another 'Mother'

She's no longer flashing her lady parts, speaking in wacky accents or bringing home paparazzi -- but you haven't seen the last of Britney Spears. The formerly out-of-control pop mom, who has been mostly out of the public eye since being placed under conservatorship of her father, is gearing up for another stint on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother," TV Guide reports.

According to an insider, Brit is in talks to reprise her role as the nerdy receptionist with a major crush on Ted, played by Josh Radnor, but "it all depends on her availability." CBS has no comment.

Britney's March 25 appearance was well received -- and it gave the sitcom its highest ratings ever. Even the cast loved having her around -- and big things could be in her future. Co-star Alyson Hannigan told "Extra," "She's great and she's funny and I think she's going to remind people how talented she is."

Her former manager, Larry Rudolph, also thinks Brit's TV adventure is the start of something huge. "She'll get it together. I think she's gonna make the biggest comeback in history," Rudolph told "Extra" yesterday.

Brit and K-Fed Reuniting?

Does this sound wacky enough to be true? According the Chicago Sun-Times, divorced and court-battlin' exes Britney Spears and Kevin Federline might be trying to recapture the magic that was "Chaotic" -- by teaming for a new variety show?! Yeah, too good to be true. K-Fed's peeps just denied the whole thing.

The Sun-Times said the project would have been a primetime musical-comedy show. Adding to the allure, K-Fed was to be the choreographer, which have brought their lives full circle; Brit met the wannabe rapper when he worked as one of her backup dancers.

The recovering pop mom will likely venture to the tube again, just not with Kev. She began her career as a Mouseketeer on "The Mickey Mouse Club," and her recent stint on "How I Met Your Mother" was the highest-rated episode the CBS sitcom has ever had.
