Jeremy Spiegel
Co-Executive Producer

Veteran newsmagazine producer Jeremy Spiegel serves as Co-Executive Producer of "Extra," overseeing both the daily and weekend editions and playing a key role in developing talent and new concepts. Since joining "Extra" in 1996, Spiegel has held numerous senior positions before taking on his current role three years ago.

In addition to his responsibilities on "Extra," Spiegel helps develop and produce web and reality programming under the "Extra' umbrella for Time Telepictures Productions.

Spiegel has traveled the world chasing stories, covering nearly every headline-making story of the past decade. He helmed "Extra's" London coverage of Princess Diana's death and in 1998 made front page news when he broke the story that Jerry Springer's top-rated talk show was staged.  Spiegel created "Extra's" popular "Hollywood & Highland" segment, which established "Extra" as the first syndicated entertainment show to turn the celebrity interview into an "event" before a live crowd.

Prior to joining "Extra," Spiegel was a field producer for "American Journal" in Los Angeles and New York, where he was front and center covering big news stories including both OJ Simpson trials and the Olympics in Lillehammer.

Spiegel, an alumnus of Rutgers University, began his broadcasting career at Fox Television in New York. He has been featured as an expert in the career book "Hot Jobs" and the A&E documentary "Minute by Minute: The OJ Bronco Chase."

He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
