Beyoncé's Blue Ivy Showered with $1.5M in Gifts

The arrival of hip-hop princess Blue Ivy has caused quite a stir in Hollywood. The firstborn child of Beyoncé and Jay-Z has been lavished with more than $1.5 million in gifts -- from a rocking horse made of gold to a "fantasy" crib fit for royalty.

According to the NY Post, Blue Ivy's dad purchased a handmade horse from Japanese Jeweler Ginza Tanaka for a staggering $600K.

For naptime, Blue will rest her sleepy head inside her $20K crib from PoshTots, and for mealtime, the tiny diva will eat from her $15K highchair decorated with Swarovski crystals.

These are just a few of the ultra-chic baby gifts Beyoncé and Jay-Z have splurged on for their little one -- which totals $1.5 million.

Blue was whisked away from Lenox Hill Hospital to her home on Tuesday, after a weekend filled with top-notch security, military-like precision to keep the family away from paparazzi, and annoyed parents in the hospital's maternity ward.

How selfish are these parents? Beyonce and her husband? Just because they have their first baby they lavish the baby with expensive gifts!Its great to get the baby some gifts! But Really? They could have helped all the babies and mothers in our world with what they gave to one baby!That babys not gonna care if she was in a lavish crib or whatever! But she is gonna wish her parents had helped out more people in our world who need the help! I swear, once people become celebritys they become selfish. and its all of us out her who made them celebritys by listening to their music or watching their shows. They better enjoy it now cause it wont last the riches theyve got that is.

Realizing that Beyonce and Jay-Z are millionaires, it’s still over the top to spend so much on an infant. STUFF will not make that little girl realize her full potential (nor will the stripper type name, but whatever). Something to ponder for everyone else, guess what? YOU MADE BEYONCE AND JAY-Z WHO THEY ARE!! From paying for their concerts to downloads to whatever. If you think it’s excessive, spend your money on better choices. Oh, and “Cousin,” I suspect few here believe you’re related, you poor thing; you’d probably say you’re Paris Hilton’s cousin, too, were the story about her.

It just makes me so sad that Milwaukee has such an incredibly high infant mortality rate from relatives cosleeping with babies. The majority of the time there is no crib in the house. They cannot afford cribs and other necessities. I don’t resent Beyonce and Jay Z spoiling their child. The excess just seems a little ridiculous. And by the way…BLUEIVY’s COUSIN??? I’m sure you are NOT!

Both of my family members, J and Bey donate 100’s of thousands of dollars each year to charities, of their choice. What you all fail to realize is that they are billionaires! So buying Blue a 600k horse is equivalent to the middle class person purchasing their child a rocking horse from toys r us. I understand you all are mad bc your children were raised underprivileged, but that was your choice! And how dare you say that Blue will grow up egotistical, lol. You can stick up for this over rated couple all you want, but $600 thousand dollars for a gold rocking horse is just plain stupid ! And that much money to someplace like St. Jude Hospital for Children would have been a nice gift in this childs name.
I don’t care how much they might have given to charity, this much more would have been nice and helpful to sick children someplace.
How long do you think that child will actually use a $600 thousand dollar rocking horse ?
I am sure Jesus would have spent that same amount on a rocking horse instead of doing good with it for someone, right?
Being overpaid in the music and movie industry just means these rappers and so called movie stars can overindulge with huge home, cars, etc. while the average working man, that actually works for a living can’t pay his mortgage, and that means something is wrong someplace ! ! !
