RPattz Gets Into It with the Paparazzi

Most celebrities have a breaking point when it comes to paparazzi pursuit -- and this weekend, Robert Pattinson reached his.

Persistent photogs pursued the "Twilight" actor all weekend, culminating Sunday when RPattz left a party in Malibu, hounded by shutterbugs, and allegedly bumped into two parked cars as he was trying to leave, or so says X17Online.

A short while later, a clearly frustrated Pattinson got out of his car on Pacific Coast Highway and confronted the pursuing paparazzi, asking them to leave him alone. He even tried to solicit the help of a nearby police officer. Finally, Pattinson just got back into his car and left.

As for the alleged bump and run, the actor's rep told "Extra," "Robert was pulling out of a parking space after a quiet day in Malibu yesterday and was relentlessly pursued by paparazzi. He has no knowledge of having bumped or damaged another car in the process."

Find out 20 facts about Robert Pattinson!

Pattinson once told "Extra," "If you've got people waiting outside your house, it's difficult to go out. It gets annoying. But there are always ways to avoid everything. I mean I go out and I'm hardly ever seen out, really."

"Extra" thinks the paps have been a little too invasive -- do you agree?

I love it when people say, “I’m a huge RPatz fan, but leave him alone, waaa, waa” YOU are the reason the paparazzi hound him so much! Every single person reading this article and looking at that picture just made the paparazzi’s job valuable. all the hits on the website tell the site that it pays to fork over thousands of dollars for pictures like that. WE LOOK AT THEM!!!!

To Norman D Mitchell:
For the comment ->
“If you are tired of the paparazzi, then get out of Hollywood and end your career because this is what it is all about, being surrounded by the media and fans”.
But are they should also give up their human rights too??? Do they owe you anything???
Do you understand reasonable???

If you are tired of the paparazzi, then get out of Hollywood and end your career because this is what it is all about, being surrounded by the media and fans. If you don’t want to do this, then end all Twilight films and hide. This is what is so funny with the young actors/actresses lately. They love it in the beginning with the constant picture-taking and the screams/hollers for the person but then get tired and irritable later. I just don’t get it. If you don’t want it, then leave the Hollywood biz alone and give it to people who would enjoy the constant limelight like me. That’s right, I have my full name out there so if the paparazzi want to find me, go ahead because I would enjoy the limelight like these celebs have with the nice financial status, too.

enough is enough already - the look of pure desperation on his face is proof of picture taking gone too far! the photo hogs need to back off and save the film for media & promo events, these morons taking the pictures have no class! wonder how they would feel if rob turned a camera on them & their family members 24/7?

This is breaking my heart! I can’t believe the patience and kindness Robert seems to have. They need to leave him alone! I hope all this crap doesn’t change him!

Robert is sick of being followed.
Paparazzi that camp out where celebrity may go is one thing but camping out at their home and following them should not be allowed. This is why we have so damn many laws; a few idiots make it necessary.

The paps went too far. They had their pics when he came out of the cinema. Who needs 100 pics of somebody walking around or driving? He is not a self-confident driver, the paps could have endangered his life and other drivers’ too. He was very civil, he never raised his voice, he was just annoyed and upset and frustrated. He was really classy.
These paps deserved a Sean Penn confronting them.

The paps went to far, chasing Rob all day and night. There were five cars following him, running red lights and endangering the public. He was alone, he was just going about his business, and they already had thousands of photos from him earlier in the day. This has got to stop. Boycott X-17 and sites that run those pics. EXTRA is not much better, paying for photos like these. We don’t want to see them. Cover red carpet events and films. We want entertainment news, not creepy pics of paps hounding innocent celebrities.

If someone was following me around from day till night I’d PUNCHED them out. It’s STALKING pure and simple. They were on him all day. HOW MANY FREAKIN’ PICS DO YOU NEED. With all the technologies available in lenses DO THEY HAVE TO BE UP IN HIS FACE LIKE THAT? Five cars following you on a highway is dangerous not only to him but other drivers as well. Do you want your family member getting killed bc these idiots were too busy chasing a freakin’ “pic”. Those people who says he should expect it are MORONS.

@RichardSaldana Is that so? Well, I’m not surprised. That’s the typical lowly answer especially when it comes to not liking a certain celebrity. Yeah, it’s that easy. You wouldn’t be saying the same thing if that’s you. The PAPARAZZI do cross the line. When people get into the business, yeah, they know they’ll have pictures taken. But when it comes to the paps those people are unpredictable. You never know when they’ll cross the line & hound you insanely just to get footage & a damm picture. These people can act so reckless they don’t care about hurting the people they’re so rudely hunting or others. Of course a bias fan like you would say what you said and you’re wrong on all counts.

who ever says that celebs have 2 deal with it well they clearly aren’t human cuz anyone can see that at one point being followed around EVERYWHERE and EVERYDAY would eventually irritate me and everyone. please leave rpattz alone for one minute geez

That Robert Patinson and all of the celebrities need to deal with it. They knew that when they got into being movie stars, that dealig with the paparazzi was part of the fame.
Oh waaa! The paparazzi is taking pics of me. GET OVER IT
Knew right when you first started, you would be whiny “star”.
That is why I am for the “werewolf” actor in the last Twilight movies.
He is better looking and HAS IT AND YOU DON’T.

There should be rules from celebs, that ONLY allow papps to snap shots at events and NOT during their personal time. Create an Entertainment Board that oversees how far PAPPS can go. Glamoring for those shots is just crazy and “we” feed into that by buying those mags. I DON”T.

Extra, the paparazzi 100% went too far! The video clearly shows an exasperated and desperate guy trying to get the police to help him because he is being harassed and stalked. And if citizens can’t count on the police to help when they’re in trouble, who can we? It shouldn’t matter whether the person is a celebrity, a suburban housewife, or a bum on the street. We are all the same. HUMAN BEINGS!! Robert is harassed and stalked all the time. What right do those awful paparazzi think they have to know where his home is? That’s what they were after.
YOU Extra should be ashamed of yourself for being part of the problem! I cannot believe that you showed that video for ratings at the expense of that polite, humble young man’s feelings and privacy.

When is California actually going to ENFORCE an anti-paparazzi law?? When more people have been stalked and killed?
