Jermaine Jackson Supports Chris Brown

Singer Chris Brown's emotional performance at the 2010 BET Awards, in which he paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson, moved many people -- including Jackson's brother, Jermaine.

See photos of the BET Award arrivals!

To see [Chris'] performance, it was very emotional for me because it was an acceptance from his fans from what has happened to him and also paying tribute to my brother," Jermaine told "Extra" at the awards show. "It was just a spectacular moment."

"He deserves to perform because it's healing for him. How can he learn from his mistakes if you don't give him a chance? He needs that. I love Rihanna, and I'm not supporting what he did, but I support him [as a singer] 100%."

Jermaine continued. "I'm just very emotional just knowing what has happened. Chris Brown is a human being and we all make mistakes. We can't condemn him for what has happened. We hope he has learned from it."

"The woman is very, very precious. The woman is who give us life. It's very important that we treasure our women. I know he knows that now."

This is very sad to me to see how people are so judgemental of another. I know that you have a past as well and may not be proud of what you have done, but no one is judging you. Its not for us to judge but God and God alone. I think the performance was great and he did an excellent job. It wasnt a stunt or gimmick those tears were real and very emotional. Michael Jackson meant a lot to Chris Brown. Im not saying what he did was right however noone is talking about what Rhianna did. My mom has always told me to never put my man on a man or anyone. All the blame is going on him what about her? We have all these great men out here where is one when you really need them to mentor this young man, he made a mistake get over it…… Humans can be so cruel and the majority of you condenming him have some secrets of your own….

Jermaine Jackson is all about Jermaine Jackson trying to re-built his career off his brother’s death. This man married is brother’s wive sorry he is morally bankrupt. CB is very young man and make bad decision. I want him to re-built his life. But I don’t think he has fully realized what he did. He needs to re-take that angermanagement class it did not take. So next time he goes for a interview he doesnt lost it on air. He needs to learn to shake it off …don’t blow up..and don’t walk out. Just explain your point and chill. Ask god daily to give you the strength to get thru this process. You are so talented don’t waste it. No a CB fan but the man is talented and I respect that.

For the hater on here.. You obviously aren’t a true fan of MJ because Michael was always forgiving to everyone, Even those who wronged him… I’ll just bet each one of these haters ARE Charlie Sheen Fans!! Leave Chris alone… You dont like him, Fine… But we dont want to hear from you and you are in a minority NOT the Majority!! Check all the sites CB is getting all the love and respect for his performance!! He Heeee!

And for Jermaine Jackson to say it’s OK for Chris Brown. Tell that face to face to Rhianna. Let’s hear what she would tell you. Your not your brother Michael Jermaine .. so you have no SAY .. what is OK for an ABUSER like Chris Brown to even be in the music business. You are just soaking up all of Michael FAME now. BACK OFF.. I prefer to hear comments from Janet not you! She would never allow such abuse.

I would never allow Chris Brown to be at any award show again. He shows you can beat and torture a woman and get away with it. its so appalling that BET would even consider to bring that abuser on stage let alone mention Rhianna as the subject of his comeback. I say, he had his chance to be a singer and blew it.. when he punched and abused that wonderful lady. He should had been completely BLACKLISTED the second he punched her!

I support Chris Brown. We have to get behind this talented man and give him another chance. Lessons from our youth can go a long way if we can open our hearts and forgive. Greatest tribute to MJ that I have ever seen. Keep up the great work Chris Brown.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH CHRIS BROWN’S PERFORMANCE. THIS “YOUNG” HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH FROM THIS ONE SITUATION. HE SHOULD HAVE SANG FOR MICHAEL’S FUNERAL BECAUSE MJ WAS HIS IDOL AND MJ LIKED HIM ALSO BUT BECAUSE OF THE SITUATION HE WAS TOLD NOT TO. THIS PROBABLY HAS WEIGHED ON HIM ALONG WITH THE COURT ACTION AND LET’S NOT FORGET THE CRUELTY OF SOME JUDGEMENTAL PUBLIC OPINION. I COULD SEE HOW IT ALL JUST CAME OUT LAST NIGHT AND THAT WAS UNDERSTANDABLE. PLUS THE WORDS TO THAT SONG WOULD MAKE ANYONE THINK.(THANKS,MIKE). ENOUGH PEOPLE GIVE THIS “YOUNG MAN” BACK HIS LIFE, BECAUSE YOU WOULD NOT WANT THIS KIND OF BAD TREATMENT FOR YOU OR YOURS. I AM BEHIND YOU 1000% CHRIS BROWN. IT TIME TO MOVE ON!!!
