Eva Longoria Parker and Others 'Raise the Roof' for Haiti

Actresses Maria Bello, Eva Longoria Parker and Amber Valletta are asking people to help "Raise the Roof" for the traumatized Haitian people, many of whom are facing the country's rainy season without shelter.

In an open letter, the trio along with aHomeInHaiti.org founder Shaun King, writes: "With rainy season just two weeks away, more than a million Haitian people are still displaced as a result of the January 12th earthquake and are living in tent cities in shelters made of makeshift tarps and cotton bed sheets... That is why A Home in Haiti and Athletique d'Haiti have created 'Raise the Roof,' a campaign to immediately obtain tents and get them out to the hundreds of various displacement camps."

Their goal is to get 100,000 tents to Haiti within two weeks and guarantee the tents will be in use right away.

I wish these totally rich people, such as Eva L Parker, would just step back and see themselves. These guys could completely repair Haiti. Why do they continue to beg poor people for money?
Just go ahead and do it. You have the resources. Leave us alone. We only WISH we could help. You rich people canNOT take it with you.
Repair this crisis.
While you’re at it, take care of the homeless. GIVE that money to those less fortunate and quit begging us.
