Vanessa Williams' Beauty Secrets

Vanessa Williams graces the cover of Prevention magazine's April issue and dishes on her secret beauty tips -- including indulging in her favorite food every so often.

"New York pizza!" Williams exclaims. "But what's really deadly is when I cook and bake: cakes, pies, lasagna, roast chicken, tacos... and my kids' requests: buttermilk waffles, blueberry pancakes, French toast."

To work it off, however, "The Ugly Betty" star, 47, is a big fan of Pilates. "I was doing Pilates before people even knew how to spell Pilates," she says. "I started with [Pilates guru] Mari Winsor after my first child, 22 years ago. She used to come backstage and do a mat floor workout with me when I was doing "Kiss of the Spider Woman" on Broadway. Core strength balances your entire body. It pulls your shoulders back, tucks in your pelvis, makes you walk straighter, and gives you great posture."

And for an extra boost in her workout regime, Williams goes salsa dancing. "I started in '97 as training for a movie I did called "Dance with Me." I go out and salsa with friends, especially in the summertime. Now, that's incredible cardio!"

As for maintaining her flawless complexion, Williams has a few beauty products she swears by, including La Fleur Organique AntiAging Cream and Per-fekt Beauty Skin Perfection Gel. But she has discovered one secret beauty treatment she adores: Microcurrent facials and body treatments at Beauty Body Wellness in New York.

"It's fantastic," the actress confesses. "They also have a great cellulite treatment that you can do to the back of your thighs, as well as a butt lift. It's like a miracle machine. That's my new obsession."

She is beautiful! Now if only an average everyday mom like myself could have a body wrap in NY! HA! I don’t think that one is super practical for me but I can dream!! Actually I do want to try Pilates and have been taking my Vidazorb OPC age defense probiotic everyday! Hopefully these will really help - I love it!

Wow, nobody but Corey Feldman can sum up the most heartwhelming and tugging goodbye to his tortured friend, Corey Haim. I know what it’s like to lose a friend so close that they ARE your family and seeing them tortured but you can’t be anything but their friend.

Rip Mr. Haim
A fan for life
