Lindsay Lohan Sues E-Trade for $100 Million

What's in a name? According to Lindsay Lohan, money!

The 23-year-old actress filed a lawsuit Monday claiming the latest E-Trade commercial violated her rights under New York's state civil-rights law... by using her name, "Lindsay."

In the ad, a baby boy apologizes to his girlfriend for not calling her the night before. She then asks, "And that milkaholic Lindsay wasn't over?"

Lohan's lawyer said in a statement to the New York Post, "They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."

Chris Brown, a spokesman for Grey Group, which produced the spot, isn't buying into this stirred-up controversy. He said the ad "just used a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team."

The commercial created a lot of buzz after it aired during the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics. The lawsuit should make E-Trade even happier with the results!

Oh Pleeze, are you so broke you have to “dream” up things to generate money for you and your family. It’s marketing, and if they were making it about “you” they would have paid you for using you, no body cares about Lindsey Lohan, her story is the same old stuff, what was she drinking smoking or snorting when she had this brilliant idea? This has “desperate” written ALL over it, for her and the attorney that would even entertain a filing. (needs to be disbarred but probably chasing an ambulance when they are not serving Lindsey) waste of time and paper. Lindsey, it’s not about YOU, your reputation and conduct gives you the attention, it’s all negative you are a has been, get a real job and a life.

Lindsay REALLY needs to get over herself. I thought the commercial was cute and never once thought of Lindsay Lohan until this hit the news. Looks to me like she is scrambling for attention in her declining popularity.

ok she has made every paper showing us what a low life drunk she is.and just because someone uses the same name she gets all upset Miss Lindsay STOP BEING SO VAIN . lets it face she’s broke and needs to try and make a fast buck..her clothing line sucks, she can’t act, she can’t even keep a relationship so i guess she wants to try a new way to get money .if you need money for once really try to stop being a drama queen. we have a friend who likes to party how do we know that someone who works for etrade knows her too..maybe all the lindsay’s should sue…

Lindsay Lohan has no career and hasn’t for quite some time. To take a funny, cute commercial and make it about her is ridiculous. Her ego is too big and what makes her think she could sue and for that amount of money. She needs psychiatric help and she needs to get a real job.

If any judge gives this to Lohan, our justice system really IS in trouble. My God, how “into” yourself do you have to be to think this commercial has ANYTHING to do with you? I wonder how many people/children are named Lindsay today, certainly more than ONE?

Miss Lohan is sooooo full of herself to make the assumption that ANYONE IN AMERICA immediately thought of Lindsay Lohan when watching one of the best marketing on TV. Additionally, DOES ANYONE IN AMERICA CARE????? I love those babies in every single commercial that they do. To add to my last comment, E-trade counter sue Lindsay for all of your court costs, because she does not have a case. Lindsay the public obviously hates you, so the best thing for you is to go away. I myself would never again see one of your movies if anyone would be stupid enough to hire you. Best thing you can do is drop this case before you make a bigger fool of yourself than you already have.
