Jessica Simpson Still Hoping to Find the 'Right Man'

Jessica Simpson has been unlucky in love, but she isn't giving up.

"Hopefully, I can find a man that understands my life and understands my purpose. I just need to find the right man," the singer/actress told the audience Wednesday at IHeartRadio presents "An Evening with Jessica Simpson" in Manhattan, People.com reports.

"I hope I don't die alone, that's for damn sure," she added.

Promoting her new VH1 series, "The Price of Beauty," which debuts on Monday, Simpson says dating in the limelight can be hard. "It does affect certain decisions. Like, I'd love to go out to dinner with certain people I've met, but I can't because everyone would be like, 'Wow!!! They're gonna get married!'

During the event Wednesday, the singer performed "Who We Are," the song she co-wrote for "The Price of Beauty" with pal and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who recently supported Simpson in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The performance will debut Monday on iheartradio.com and Z100.com.

Just ridiculous. Hollywood dating hollywood types. It will never work (or if it does its very rare people that do work). I hope she realizes that and goes after someone not in the business or limelight. Get someone smart that can put it all together for her.

This is so stupid. I really think her and Nick were meant to be. It doesn’t even feel right that they are apart. They allowed pride to get in the way. And Jessica needed to have enough backbone to tell her dad to but out of her love life. Nick and Jess have so much history. They are just going out with random people to feel in that void they both caused by leaving each other.

She’d be fine if her dad stay out of her business. I feel she should still be with Nick, that’s how she became Napalm

Jessica should give a normal Joe a chance. I’ll sign a pre nup with no problem and if it’s over the next day, I would be thankful for the the one day of bliss. Common Jes, throw a dog a bone! (lol)
