If Hollywood decided to make a biopic about the John Edwards/Rielle Hunter sex scandal, who would you cast in the choice roles?
"Extra" took a stab at the casting choices: Kevin Costner as the former Sen. John Edwards; "24's" Cherry Jones as Elizabeth Edwards; "The Office's" John Krasinski as Edward's aide Andrew Young; and Brit siren Sienna Miller as the mistress, Rielle Hunter.

Dennis Quaid is the only one who can properly play John Edwards! And I like Elisabeth Schue as Elizabeth Edwards.
Tom Cruise for John Edwards. I’m not a big Cruise fan but he could definitely do the Edwards smarmy charmy good old boy rich snob thing.
Mary Kay Place or Stockard Channing for Elizabeth Edwards.
Tea Leoni or Cameron Diaz for Rielle.
I’m gonna go with John Hamm for Andrew Young because I love him.

For Rielle another good choice would be Scarlet Johansson.
Definitely TOM CRUISE for Edwards. They both have a boyish blue eyed good looks with a big smile. Cherry Jones is a good choice for Elisabeth. For Andrew Young, I see several possibilities: Ben Affleck or George Clooney or Matt Damon. For Rielle Hunter Nicole Kidman or Tia Leone.

Mark Steinas looks EXACTLY like Edwards!!!!
Cherry Jones’ hard core fans are steamed over the way our “President Taylor” has been treated in Season 8 of Fox’s ‘24.’( =like wallpaper).
Cherry Jones does seem like a good choice for “Elizabeth Edwards” but we would much rather see her in something like “Prime Suspect.” We heard that they were actually considering making that pilot.
We vote Cherry Jones for that project, or something better (her own TV show).
I think they are all good choices except Sienna Miller. I agree I think she is too young. I think Heather Locklear would be a good choice for Hunter.
I did this on another site & I also picked Kevin Costner as Edwards and Heather Locklear as Rielle (Sienna is too young). Cherry Jones looks like a good choice for Elizabeth. Maybe Nestor Carbonell as Andrew Young.
The cast is great as it is with one exception, I think Michael Hall (Dexter) would be a great choice to play John Edwards.
While Kevin Cosner is a good actor, for this role, Michael Hall definitely is the best choice.
