'Idol' Crystal Bowersox Hangs in There

"American Idol" semifinalist Crystal Bowersox isn't going anywhere.

After her recent hospitalization for medical reasons, the show's producers had to switch the semifinalist order, and it was uncertain if Bowersox would have to drop out of the competition all together, AP reports.

But the 24-year-old dreadlocked singer from Toledo, Ohio was front and center Wednesday, performing to rave reviews from the judges Wednesday.

"I feel good," she told host Ryan Seacrest. "I'm a tough cookie."

I never even knew she was ill at any point in this competition, that’s just how professional she is. If you can pull off an illness thru a show (as I have in the past many times)& no one can tell that shows she has tru talent & belongs in this business. She should’ve won this thing hands down but I’m glad she didn’t, she’s not tied down to any long term contracts & made one hell of a name for herself in the industry. You go Crystal!!!

I’m glad Crystal is okay. She’s the best singer on the show and I predict she will win. No one else comes close!!

Thank God Crystal is okay. I pray that she stays well. She turned in not only the performance of the night last night, but also the performance of the whole season thus far, and one of the best performances in Idol history. It was absolutely spellbinding. Crystal is the top contender to win this season.
