Stern in for Simon on 'Idol'?

Shock jock Howard Stern could be moving from the radio waves to the "American Idol" judging panel as Simon Cowell's replacement.

An insider tells Page Six that "Idol" producers say Stern is their top choice to take over for Cowell.

Sources tell the gossip column, "They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. 'Idol' will do what it takes to sign him."

Jamie Foxx was also a rumored replacement for Cowell, but those rumors turned out to be false.

In January, Cowell announced he was leaving "American Idol" at the end of this season. Howard's contract with Sirius XM Radio is up Jan. 2011.

FOX tells "Extra" they have no comment on the report.

Howard Stern is a nasty PIG and I hope Fox has enough since NOT to get him to replace Simon on American Idol. Come on Fox, do right for the show and select someone respectable.

Howard Stern would be one of the WORST replacements for Simon that there could be!!!!! I can’t believe Idol is even thinking of that!!!! Jamie Fox would be a good replacement.

If you want to add a trashy image to Amer.Idol Howard Stern would be the perfect candidate. I think he makes a pile of -hit look good. What would possibly qualify him to be a judge - maybe for picking out a sleaz-bag to replace himself.

Never liked Howard and never will. If he takes Simons place, I think the show will loose a lot of viewers and I will be one of them. Howard is disgusting and I was so glad when he went to
Sirus radio. This way I no longer ran across his station by accident when I turned on my radio. He should stay right were he is and let the idiots that listen to him pay for it.

NO,No,No to Howard Stern. I would stop watching American Idol. He is rude, but more importantly, he is VERY CRUDE! There are a lot more fans that won’t leave their opinions here, but will just stop watching. NO,NO,NO!!!

Well, I hope everyone at Idol Is listening. No one wants to see Howard Stern. If he replaces simon, I too will never watch the show again. We will miss it but we won’t watch Stern.

I like most of you will never watch American Idol again if they sign Howard Stern. He is such a pig and for Idol to even consider him is just crazy - do they really want America’s children looking up to him? Well crap - another stupid move for Television!
