Hi Annette, good luck to you. I was where you are a year ago. Stage 2, chemo and radiation. It’s not easy, but it’s not as bad as you might have heard. Remember to be kind to yourself, let people help you and that it’s OK to feel lousy at times. I tried to be a cheerleader all the time, darn near wore me out trying to be responsible for how everyone else felt. Good thought to you! Kim

I just had a lump removed stage 2 and I am 46 and have to go thru chemo and radiation
Cancer does run in my family (grandfather/mom had lung cancer both have passed had an aunt with liver cancer and another one had breast cancer 2006)

I think some of these questions are not accurate

The answer to question 4, “Surgery is the only way to completely treat breast cancer.” is incorrect. The correct answer is False. You cannot always cut all of the cancer out with surgery. If it has metastasized to the bones, lung, brain, etc., you cannot necessarily cut it all out and must attempt to treat it by other means. Please do not mislead people.

Yes I have a 24 year old daughter who has a lump on her left breast, she is going to have it removed next week . Our doctor said it’ best she has it removed instead having a biopsy then sending it to the lab ,have to wait six days for the results. As far as my family having breast cancer I wouldn’t know because I was a foster child , don’t know anything about my family’s back ground
