Angelina Jolie Lends Support to Haitian Orphans

Angelina Jolie is asking the public to reach out to the orphans of Haiti.

Hollywood power couple and humanitarians Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donated $1 million to relief efforts in Haiti, and Jolie continues to help the country's orphaned children.

The mother of six is an avid supporter of SOS Children's Villages, the world's largest organization that addresses the issue of children without parental care.

Jolie says in a statement, "As a longtime supporter of SOS, I have visited many of these unique villages personally. I can vouch for their commitment and care for the children. As the Haiti situation unfolds, and we all focus in on ways to help these desperate children -- I ask you to please learn more about and consider supporting SOS Children's Villages."

Pitt will participate in Friday's "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief" special.

The couple also generously donated $100,000 to SOS over the holiday season.
