Before Rachel Uchitel was known as Tiger Woods' "other woman" -- a claim she denies -- she dealt with the devastating loss of her fiancé in the 9/11 New York City terrorist attack.

She was on the phone with Andy O'Grady, an investment banker, when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. They had been engaged for just three weeks.

"I'll never know anybody who loves me as much as he did," a teary Uchitel told "Extra" shortly after.

After suffering what she called a "massive breakdown," and then a failed four-month marriage in 2004, Uchitel abandoned her career as a news producer to become a VIP club promoter at TAO in Las Vegas.

Working in nightlife is where she met Woods.
