Martha Stewart squared off against "Food Network" star Rachael Ray, dissing her fellow television star for not being able to bake, and for being "more of an entertainer" than an actual chef.

Rachel Ray has a welcoming positive type personality, is real, not plastic. Rachel shows you she is human, that she cooks like an average person, and treats everyone nicely and in an upbeat manner, even does things in her kitchen that really happen to the rest of us.
Martha however, speaks down to the viewers in a condescending rude manner, is even sarcastic to the celebrities that come as guests on her show, and always has to “try” to make herself look smarter, more skilled, etc.
I like to watch Rachel Ray cook, and I have watched alot Food Network Chefs and other chefs on TV as well, and I have always enjoyed watching them. However whenever I have tried to watch Martha, even IF she cooked something that I might of wanted to attempt to cook, I was left with an uncomfortable and uneasy feeling, a bad taste in my mouth wondering why did I even waste my time watching her show at all? I refuse to watch Martha anymore, until she gets a personality transplant. Yes Rachel doesnt bake, but overall, the food she prepares you actually do want cook, and you know that she learned just like the rest of us, “without” chef school. She does fix desserts without baking that are quite good too. So again Martha was just being snarky and trying to put herself in the spotlight once again, and she had that issue before she ever went to prison. Rachel Ray & Sam The Cooking Guy both have personalities. Rachel Ray has my vote over Martha in a heartbeat!!
Marth Stewart needs to grow up. I guess she learned nothing in prison. Rachel Ray is WAY BETTER! Yeah she doesn’t bake but alot of people don’t bake anymore. Rachel Ray does recipes for the average person that has a life and family and doesn’t have all day to spend in the kitchen. Martha Stewarts stuff is WAY to time consuming and any receipe that I have tried was terrible. Martha needs to retire and move on to her million acres and stop bashing people who are just trying to do there job. Rachel does more then just cook, she helps people and animals and she doesn’t put anyone down. Just another sad way of how society rewards bad behavior. One goes to jail and still is a billioniare. HUMMMM!
The reason Rachael is so well liked as are her recipes is cause they are made for the every day person, no special skills required. Its they are easy and simple recipes, period, end of sentence. The majority of her recipes contain ingredients you always have on hand

Seems prison didn’t soften Martha at all. And NOW she says she doesn’t understand what all the hoopla is all about. REALLY Martha REALLY? You don’t understand that you being a nasty B@@@@ to someone else is OK?
There is noting ms can do that is anywhere close to RR. RR is so much better of a cook for the everday person and she knows how to talk to people. MS thinks she is better than anyone else, she treats her worker and others like they are stupid.Why she got where she is,is because of everyday people. RR is the better everthing over MS and always will be better. MS is just a old bitchy hag……….
Rachael Ray is a million times a better cook and person than Martha wishes to be.
Shes a old hag trying to get some media publicity since more people watch Rachael’s show than hers.
I don’t think Martha Stewart said anything about Rachael Ray that Rachael Ray has not said about herself.
This has the whiff of a manufactured by media feud. That said, I have used Martha Stewart’s recipes for years and they work. Rachael Ray has a narrower range of recipes, no baking, and is more about speed and convenience than taste. So sure, MS is the better cook, and I think the better domestic diva, even though RR is entertaining to watch.
I cant believe that martha stewert is acting like a child grow up not everybody is or wont to be like you, Rachel Ray is her own person and she is not trying to be someone she is not so that is all i have to say about this subject. And yes she can cook and she has a big heart Helping othere family who cant celibrate the holidays she dose it with, All i know is that more people can strive to be like Rachel Ray.
Well if you’ve ever made one of Rachael Ray’s recipes you know that they’re never anything you’d make twice, and certainly not something you’d make to impress anybody. So she being a better TV host than cook is probably very true. But this is what she’s paid to do, host a daytime talk show. She’s not paid to be a great cook.
Martha made her name and living based on perfection and attention to detail. Rachael Ray made her name on eating out three meals a day for less than $40. But I think Martha’s just a little cranky that Ray’s show is doing better.
I guess we know who still a BEEETYCH!!!
Sad isn’t it with a Media empire, MS still comes out being a jaded woman.

Who cares who the better chef is? My question would be who is down to earth and for me I would have to say (and I can’t help but rhyme) Rachel Ray!!!!!!!
Hands down she is the winner of this contest. I can’t afford to eat the kind of things Martha cooks (and I don’t need a pumpkin made out of a matchbox and a styrofoam cup. can you say pretentious) and most of the stuff Rachel cooks I have on hand. I am an out of work Construction worker and I cook a lot and I’d cook for Rachel any day and maybe even share a secret recipe or two. One big feather for Rachels cap!!!
martha stewart should feel grateful to rach for bringing her to the main network channels again,if only for an hour, instead, the b**** trashes her. she is just jealous and just like she spoke about being pissed for losing her money because of her crime, with rach’s show rating her 2 to 1, again she is pissed for losing money. basically, martha is no longer “a good thing”, rachael has moved in as the diva of it all, step aside martha!
I really enjoy watching Ms. Rachel Ray’s program and think that her ‘recipes’ are much more ‘practical’ to my life style. Wishing her continue success to the show and please keep up with the good work!!
I have nothing against Ms. Martha Stewart but some of her recipes are for someone who has a ‘well equipped five stars professional Chef kitchen’ and for non-working housewives who would not mind to spend at least half a day or longer in the kitchen.

I watch both Martha and Rachael Ray, more Rachael then Martha and 90 % of the time I will go out and get the ingredients for Rachael’s recipes and make it for dinner. I think over the years I have only made just one thing Martha had on her show….Tapas…and she didn’t even make them a guest did!! Martha is way out of touch with what people want where Rachael gets it. Who cares if Rachael can’t bake, she rocks and knows it!!!
Granted Martha is a royal “B” and Rachel is just a big syrupy phony that has little talent. Neither is worth watching.
Martha may be talented but she’s a vengeful, bitter hag! Rachel can cook! Even if she couldn’t I’d rather watch her! You have to have personality to be on tv! Thats why martha has bad ratings.
I go for MS. She may be a bit snooty but she knows food and her recipes work.
I agree totally that RR is more of a personality than a cook. I tried 4 of her recipes and they didn’t work. Recently when I caught the last of her show she makes sloppy food I wouldn’t even try. I think she will end up with a talk show minus food.
Now MS…I want to eat nearly everything she makes!

Rachel cooks common folk foods, and Martha seems to try and cook 4 star Restaurant foods, (uncommon) and does not do a good job at it….I remember she sliced her finger on national TV and tried to hide it behind the tomato she was slicing … Rachel is not a baker she will tell you that, Martha may be a baker but she cant cook chef style, I saw her cook pork chops and I would not eat that darn stuff that lady will give someone worms. So, I would say rachel is the better cook..!
