Jon Gosselin credits his ex Hailey Glassman for making him a better dad.

"Going home to see my kids -- excited, but I'll miss Hailey," the dad of eight, 32, posted on Twitter Monday afternoon.

Continues Gosselin, "She has made me realize I need to be an honest person/father for my kids."

Extra first reported Monday that the couple had decided to take a break, although a source said it may not be permanent.

In a public appearance in New York City Sunday night with spiritual adviser Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (who had also worked with Michael Jackson), Jon said it was a "huge mistake" to debut his relationship with Glassman, 22, in France last July just weeks after announcing his divorce from Kate.

"If she would've done that to me, I would have been extremely p*ssed off. Not because our relationship is over ... it's almost like a stab in the back. And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it," he admitted.

Kate will detail the unraveling of their marriage in a TLC special called "Kate: Her Story" to air Monday at 9 PM ET.

Kate acted with total grace, strength, class and most of raw honesty on her special. That’s why she is so admired. More so now then ever. Sadly her husband Jon made a complete fool out of himself on the ET interview with Hailey. Jon acting like a child sitting on the floor with a pouty face was absolutely pathetic and sad. He needs some serious help and the Rabbi isn’t doing it for him that’s for sure.

We all know how Kate treated Jon. But still, it is not cool of Jon to have a few girlfriends showing them off in public while he is still married to Kate. It is not right for the children to see their father hurting their mother in this cheating manner.

Hailey should take a good look at Kate because that will be her in the future if she decides to stay w/ Jon. She will be taking care of him, validating him, supporting him and his “mantrums” just as Kate did during their marriage. He is very co-dependant and needs to be told what to do, feel and how to act. First it was “Kate did this to me” and “Kate made me feel lame”. Now it’s “Hailey said this” and “Hailey thinks that”. He’s lost.

I am sick of hearing about Jon and Kate.
And what is Kate Gosselin going to say that has not already been said? Enough is enough. I’m sick of her poor me martyr act and I’m tired of Jon’s manwhore mentality. Its time they both grow up instead of trying to become famous.
