Kate: Kids 'Don't Know' About Jon's Girlfriends

The final episode of 'Jon and Kate Plus 8'

After five seasons on TLC, paparazzi mayhem and a messy divorce, "Jon and Kate Plus Eight" came to a emotional end on Tuesday.

In the final episode of the show, Jon Gosselin helped the sextuplets with a lemonade stand. They were able to raise money for local firefighters and explore a fire truck. Later, Kate took the little ones on a trip to a dairy farm and they learned how to milk a cow.

"I don't like goodbyes," Kate told the camera. The mother of eight said she was against the end of the show and it was "totally avoidable," while her estranged husband felt differently.

"Our marriage fell apart and I felt like I was free," Jon explained. The 32-year-old said it was tough getting married and having children at a young age and he finally feels like he could live out his twenties.

Kate believes good has come out of her reality TV experience. She calls herself "stronger" and she now knows who her "true friends" are. The 34-year-old also expressed her gratitude and called the program a "unique opportunity." Kate also says she hasn't talked to her children about Jon's relationships with other women. "They don't know about girlfriends," she explained. "That's just too unhealthy."

During Kate's final confessional, she began to cry in front of the camera. "It's too soon and it's been a great run," she admitted.

The one-hour finale ended with a montage of memorable moments and message from TLC, "Jon, Kate & Family, Thank you for sharing your life with us."

The great manipulator Kate has manage to manipulate some loser audience into thinking she is the victim. But smart folks know different. Jon is certainly not awesome, but when put next soul crushing manipulative Kate, he doesn’t look too bad. It is a wonder he didn’t leave her sooner. And someone said “crawling back to her”. LOL, he is certainly better off without her.

Kate now knows that she was wrong, but someone had to wear the pants and make decisions, she had 9 kids with that Jon dude. He is a total jurk, a man with 8 children does not think of self and being 20 again. He’ll be a tired old man and it won’t be from raising 8 children it will be screwing around with the younger set until they figure out he is a hasbeen. FIRST CLAss. Kate will do well, and I bet in the future he comes crawling back and I hope she does not take a second look at the hasbeen!

I too think Jon has gotten a little carried away but I also think Kate pushed him into it. I would just cringe when she would belittle him on TV and think that one day he will rebel. Don’t act so innocent Kate, you are a control freak and any guy will get sick of it.

Jon is an egotistical, greedy and selfish little creep. He sets a disgraceful example for his kids and the less time he is able to spend with them the better off they will be.

It is unfortunate that Jon ended up so immature. He should have tried talking with Kate or asked that she go to counseling instead of having an affair. Explain how he is now going to provide for 8 children? Is his girlfriend going to get an extra job since he has none and help provide for the 8?

Jon thinks it is healthy to introduce his children to a women who has been arrested for drugs. what is wrong with you people? Now he has made it so that Kate will need to go back to nursing, have daycare for her 8 because of his selfishness. Why…because TLC decided he was not mature enough from his continous bad behavior he played on on international tv. Kate should celebrate that he is gone.

I FEEL THAT KATE MADE A FOOL OUT OF JON, & WOULD TALK DOWN TO HIM, NOT REALIZING THAT HE WAS A GREAT FATHER & HUSBAND. SHE GOT OUT OF CONTROL, UNTIL HE COULDN’T TAKE IT ANY LONGER. I BET SHE WISHES SHE WOULD HAVE SHUT HER BIG MOUTH UP. SHE IS SUCH A SHOW-OFF & WONDERS WHO SHE IS. GLAD TO SEE HER GO, OFF OF TV. BYE BYE

Having girlfriends is not healthy? They’re divorcing. Kate lives in a fantasy world. Better for the kids to learn that Daddy has a life and still loves them, than to see their frightful mother crying or yelling at them all the time.

She found the dogs a nuisance, so robbed her kids of having pets. I find her a nuisance and I think those kids deserve a better mother than she will ever be. She’s trash. She didn’t want the show to end because she’s weak willed and wanted the money, not for her kids, but for her beauty treatments.

Good bye Kate! I hope Jon petitions for the kids later when he feels like a man again.

Good to see that you are free Jon, from the constant nagging and the put downs from Kate. You have gotten the soul sucked out of you for too long. I know of the kind of psychological abuse and manipulation some women do to their men. You are a strong person to put up with the crap and chains on you. Don’t let the outside retards say anything different. Go forth and enjoy your freedom.

I just watched the final show and am going to miss seeing this show every week. Yes, they have gone through a lot as a family and one can only hope they have grown through this experience and learned something. Kate, you ARE a classy lady and let anyone try and raise 8 kids with an immature husband and see how they do. Even in the end you were not vindictive with your words, but Jon still threw in his punches — Jon, we will not miss you but unfortunately we probably haven’t seen the last of you as you can’t do without being in the news and you know you like it. Kate, keep up the good work and hope to see you and the kids on your own program. Best wishes to you Kate and the kids and our thoughts and prayers are with you for strength through all of this.
