Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres took to her stage on Thursday to tell her audience about Oprah Winfrey's decision to end her show.

DeGeneres said Winfrey called her with the news and she praised Oprah, saying, "I don't think I could be here without her. I think she has blazed a trail."

The comedienne added, "She will always be the queen of daytime television."

DeGeneres said her pursuit to get on the cover of O Magazine helped her bond with Winfrey. Ellen joked, "She also said she is leaving me all of her money."
