This issue is best left solved by Mr. Letterman and the people to whom he’s making amends. However they work it out let’s hope it’s the most healing and best for them.

Maybe the wife did know and is staying with him. They were just married and this all comes out. Now she can’t testify against him. Remember she worked with him.

yes its quite humbling when you are seen naked but im sure she will forgive after he brings her home a baby blue jaguar and a time of begging forgiveness

His wife has invested many years of her life in the relationship, as someone else said she knew he had commitment issues before he married her. He admits that all of this happened before they were married. Should she be hurt? absolutely. surprised? I don’t think so. However betrayal is a very hard thing to overcome in a relationship, my hope is that he has now told her EVERYTHING, no more secrets from the past to come back and bite them.

David Letterman is too high on himself.Cocky is the word. Regina should kick David Letterman to the curb.

She knew what he was when she married him. Come on living with someone for over 20 years and not marrying them what does that say about commitment.I feel sorry for the child thank goodness he isn’t old enough to understand all this.

The only thing I see DL getting wrong is getting involved with his staff who may have considered his advances harassment. If he was single when he was messing around, what is the big deal? Who doesn’t? His wife has known him for a longer time than they have been married, so she must have known he had a wondering eye. The real story should be focusing on the real criminal…the extortionist! I say give DL a break. Enough already!

I have one question - “Does Dave Letterman have a pre-nupitual?” Because if it doesn’t work out with his wife, my guess is that she will get more than the two million asked in the extortion plot.

I think David Letterman made his speech and admitted his wrong and now needs to work privately on make things right with his wife and family. He does not need to be making jokes about what he did cause I’m sure his wife does not find any of it funny. Isn’t that who he was trying to protect in the first place when he made public what happened. So why would he ever think his wife or family would find it easier to laugh it off!! hahahaha, not funny!!

David Letterman is a creep. He was sleeping with employees who were under him (I guess literally too!). In the real world he would be fired for that. He has mocked everyone else and now it is his turn to man up and take it. The only ones I feel sorry for are his wife and child. But since it took him so many years to marry her after having his son, she probably knew what a selfish creep he is. I hope she gets lots of money from him.

I don’t understand why people believe that David Letterman should be commended for facing his rumors head on. Facing the situation head on would have been to inform his then girlfriend about his affairs before they got married in March, and not before someone tried to blackmail him. Granted he is a comedian, and making jokes about himself is probably a lot easier to talk about his scandal, but joking only makes light of a very serious situation. It is disappointing to see yet another public figure commit adultery, leaving a wife who has to pick up the pieces.

Maybe instead of trashing Sarah Palin’s daughter he should have cleaned up his own act. Funny how his tune changed when he got caught.

I say everybody needs to leave David Letterman alone and let the persons involved work it out.And the thing that tried to blackmail Letterman needs to get a life( in jail ). His girlfriend needs to dump him. Probably everyone that is sitting around pointing fingers at him have probably have done worse and still doing worse than him. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, SHUT UP AND LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!! I commend him for facing it head on.
