Music Video Directed by Heath Ledger Released

A music video has been released that was directed by Heath Ledger shortly before he died from an accidental drug overdose at the age of 28 in Jan. 2008.

Rapper N'fa Forster-Jones posted the video for his song "Cause An Effect" on his YouTube and MySpace pages on Thursday.

"I, everyday, count my blessing every day for the fact that I got to have him direct this piece of art," Forster-Jones says in a YouTube video explaining the experience. The rapper and "The Dark Knight" star were childhood friends growing up in Perth, Australia.

The late actor's final film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" opens in theaters Dec. 25.

bs. ledger did nothing of the sort, this sort of thing happens all the time, jumping on the band wagon, making a bit of money, he was probably in the same town when the video was being filmed, and noone can prove he didnt film it. i hate the world.

Ledger’s last movie is coming out in the US on Xmas day. It’s not his best. I’ll have my review of it up a little beforehand.

Heath directed no less than 7 music videos, if you count the one he was working on for Modest Mouse.

This video, however, was NOT directed shortly before he passed away. The Cause N Effect video was filmed in December 2004, when Heath was living in Sydney, AU. It was either his FIRST or one of his first, directing efforts.

Then in 2005 & 2006, he directed another for Nfa and two that we know of for Ben Harper. In 2007, he directed a video that was an artistic interpretation of Black Eyed Dog by British folk singer Nick Drake, one for his newfound artist Grace Woodroofe that was a cover of David Bowie’s Quicksilver, and started the one for Modest Mouse that was released a couple of months ago.

He was also in the middle of preparing to direct his first film, an adaptation of the book Queen’s Gambit, that was to begin filming in late 2008.
