I think You should go with an American White Sheppard, I rescued my dog three years ago from the Ann Arbor humane society here in Michigan, I think Sheppard’s are the best dogs , although , I love labs too!!!

Mario. You need a blond lab.You will not find a more loving dog in the world.I had one for over 15 years. She passed away 2 years ago.Labs are special because of their spirit, and they are very loyal.Try an find a puppy about 8 weeks old.And a female. That way she will bond with you.Labs have short hair and love the water. So they love to take a bath. And if your in the ocean they will swim with you.Or if your in a pool you will have company.Very easy to train. You will have a loving friend for a long time.

Hi Mario…
You should try adoping a greyhound… they are so graceful and loving… there are so many in New England, since the tracks have been closing… They need loving homes….

Mario, you need a bishon. They just snuggle and they are just here to love you. They do not shed - they are small so clean up is easy. I have a one year old male and he is my favorite dog I ever had. Good luck.

Mario,
If you are looking for an extremely smart, energetic, loads of fun, very loving and that will adapt to whatever your schedule is - Try a Jack Russell Terrier(smooth coat) they are amazing little guys. I have 2 of them who are extremely smart, playful, and very loving. Taz and Thumper are the best little guys. I have always been a big dog person until I got the Jack Russells. If you would like to know more about them go to Breeders Direct they only take the best in the nation. Don’t get me wrong mixed breeds are also great I also have an akita/australian shepard mix Tia will be 8 in Oct. she is very protective and loves to hike in the mountains. So I have both registered and a mixed and I am very happy with both. I do agree that there is alot of mixed breeds at shelters that also need a loving master too! Good luck in your search for the perfect dog for you. JR’s were very easy to potty train for me no problems and lots of funny stories about that too!

Mario,

Go on Petfinders.com you can put any breed, size and age and it will direct to all the shelters that have that type of breed, plus there are also alot of mixed breeds that need homes also, that’s where we found our newest dog….

Good luck

Hiya Mario:) I guess I am a little biased but I am a breeder of AKC Shih-Tzu pups and think they are your ideal pet. Non-shedding, affectionate, loyal, great for people with any allergies, playful and sweet natured. I see alot of these traits in you …except the non-shedding and allergies … lol… I hope u choose a Shih-Tzu, it will be the best decision you will ever make. Good luck in your endeavor:)

Hey Mario! If I had to choose one dog on your top ten it would be the Lab! They are wonderful dogs! I am personally in love with our Weimaraners. We have a silver and a blue weim. They don’t need much grooming and they have alot of energy which from what I heard about you that would be a great fit! Think about rescuing a pet. We rescued 4 Weim’s over the years and have been very pleased! :o)

Dear Mario,
I’d suggest you go with the beagle. I have a beagle and they’re a wonderful breed. They’re not too big or too little. They have a great, spunky personality. They’re intelligent, playful, friendly, great with kids and adults and good guard dogs. They’re also chick magnets. They have different types of howls and barks for different situations which make it easier for you to figure out what they’re trying to tell you compared to some other breeds. They’re also great hunters so if you’re stranded in the woods they’ll find you fresh food but if you’re a vegetarian you might be on your own.

HI MARIO, PLEASE TRY TO CHOOSE LAB, GOLDEN RETRIEVER. I HAVE A BULLDOG AND THEY ARE TERRIBLE DOGS. THE BEAGLE/ENGLISH BULLDOGS ARE ADOREABLE. MY SON HAS ONE. PURE BEAGLES HAVE A HOWEL BARK SOUND. GOOD LUCK.

I do not think it has much to do with the breed, all dogs can be trained. Let the dog pick you! Take your time in looking. I know how hard it is to go to the shelters and not leave with one. But, you will know when you have made that special connection with him/her. Good luck!

Mario,

The right dog for you will be one that fits your lifestyle. Decide what size dog you would like then research those breeds. There are alot of breeds that I love but have only one from the top 10. (I have 6). Rescued dogs are the best and of course, there is nothing wrong with mixed breed dogs. Good luck!
P.S. You are HOT!
