Ellen Wants 'Sneeze Guard' for Simon
New "American Idol" judge Ellen DeGeneres talked to "Extra" for her first TV interview since the big announcement -- and she says she's putting some space between her and Simon Cowell!
"I'm putting a sneeze guard up between us," she joked. "I'm gonna have Plexiglas surrounding me."
But don't mess with Ellen -- "I'm not the kind of person he's gonna be pinching, playing with; drawing mustaches on," she said.
Ellen said joining judges Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Simon is like "joining a family." In fact, all three judges were asked if they "liked" the funny gal -- "because it would be rude to shove someone in there they didn't like," she quipped.

Enough already, Ellen has no talent, she is a talk show host…and she’s going to be a judge, WHY? Only watched the show for Paula, Simon is too full of himself, again what is his talent…the only two judges that have any experience are Randy and Paula…Simon and Seacrest are paid way too much …..Paula should be paid what she is worth…..oh well, won’t watch anymore.
