Paula Abdul has already been replaced on 'American Idol'

Paula Abdul announced on Tuesday she would not return to "American Idol" as a judge, and she has already been replaced -- well, at least for one show.

Victoria Beckham's rep has confirmed the former Spice Girl will make a "one-off appearance" as a guest judge, according to Britain's Sky News.

Beckham won't become a permanent "Idol" judge alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. Posh reportedly doesn't want to take time away from overseeing her fashion line.

How fair would it be to have a “guest” judge only appear for one show? I think you have to have continuity with the judges throughout the whole season.
