Mother Katherine Opens Up about Family

717.jpg

Katherine Jackson is caring for her three grandchildren now that their father Michael is gone. When he was alive, Katherine stood by MJ through his various tribulations. In interviews from "Good Morning America," the 79-year-old talked about her late son, her relationship with husband Joe and spirituality.

The interviews were shot before Michael's sudden death and even then, Katherine was hurt by the constant media coverage of her son. She told cameras, "Sometimes I listen to the television and they say ugly things about your children, it hurts." Jackson added, "People don't care how they hurt you. They should be careful what they say."

It's reported Katherine and Joe Jackson have been separated for 15 years. The Jackson matriarch admitted she lives in Los Angeles and Joe is in Las Vegas, but says "absence makes the heart grow fonder." Katherine recalled meeting Joe, saying, "I just had a feeling that he was going to be my husband. The first time I saw him I fell in love with him."

Jackson remains a devout Jehovah's Witness and says she does field service three days a week. The Jacksons raised their nine children as Jehovah's Witnesses as well, and Katherine confesses, "I wish they were a little more spiritual."

This is how I see it…..I grew up listening to the J-5 and I think Michael was fabulous!! The only one’s you ppl are hurting are those 3 beautiful children…let’s just stop and think about this a minute. If I were the parent’s of those two children that he “SUPPOSEDLY ABUSED” there would be no amount of money in the world that I would accept as a payoff, I would want to have him tried and convicted and let the ppl in jail who hate pedophiles handle him, did the money those families get fix the trauma of an abused child? “NOT!!!!! This is absurd let that man RIP & for GOD’s sake leave his children alone!!!!! let MJ’s mom do what was asked of her, let them live in piece

Vinny— You sound like a very bitter and tortured soul. Relax, Release and Let GO and Move On with your life because life keeps on going and you are still stuck in the same, sad place.

Move on and I suggest you talk to a therapist because you need one.

All my Brothers and Sisters, please keep the principles of the w93 8/1 p. 17 par. 10 Let No One Spoil Your Useful Habits in mind. Don’t waste your valuable time on this: “Modern computers have opened other avenues to bad association. Some commercial firms enable subscribers using a computer and a telephone to send a message to electronic bulletin boards; a person can thus post on the bulletin board a message that is open to all subscribers. This has led to so-called electronic debates on religious matters. A Christian might be drawn into such debates and may spend many hours with an apostate thinker who may have been disfellowshipped from the congregation. The direction at 2 John 9-11 underscores Paul’s fatherly counsel about avoiding bad associations.”

Michael Jacksons children are going to end up just as disturbed as their father was. Moma Jackson (Katherine) is bringing them to the Kingdom Hall, so they can be indoctrinated. Jehovah’s Witness have the highest mental illness rate of any religions.
The future if not bright for MJ’s children.

it is soo obvious. the people saying negative things are just irritated about something PERSONAL they had happen, maybe with one individual, and they’re taking it out on the religion as a whole. As for the blood thing, even doctors that are NOT witnesses are realizing the benefits of staying away from blood. People that are NOT witnesses are asking now to be treated without blood because of the benefits. There are hospitals now that do bloodless surgery as the norm. geez. I’ve been a witness my whole life and it’s fine. you can soo tell these are just bitter people for some other underlying reason

Michael had a “dummy whammy” childhood.

A very harsh driving parent and also raised in a hard driving, negative, high-mind control religion not allowing children reality is enough to ‘do in’ most children. No wonder he wrote his song “Have You Seen My Childhood?”

Now with Michael’s children I hate to see history repeat itself. Jehovah’s Witnesses expect children to always act like adults, no birthdays, Christmas, holidays, suits and ties always, to 5 meetings weekly and regular door to door, no non-JW friends, no college, no organized sports, no school extracurriculars, no freedom of thought, etc. Research this religion online and abundant books, though the Watchtower organization forbids independent research.

Kendy: There are Commands, Laws and Principles in the Bible. You must ask yourself is “Abstaining” from blood a Command or a Law, or as you (I believe mistakenly said) a Principle?

The whole point is ownership.. the 10 Commandments are about Ownership. The Giving of Life and the Taking of Life is God’s province alone.. unless this is delegated to “Superior Authorities” (Romans 13:1).

If I choose to GIVE you an organ, including my blood.. that is my choice. You are not taking anything I own without my consent.

Do you not recall the revulsion of the faithful 11 when Jesus urged them to Drink his Blood and Eat his Flesh? As dietary controlled Jews they were revolted!

However, Jesus GAVE his life, his Blood and Flesh for us, so that we may live.

When animal flesh is offered as food, the animal is killed (it doesn’t give itself) and the Blood is returned to Almighty God, Jehovah.. the GIVER of Life.

Surely, if someone volunteers an Organ (blood is a liquid Organ).. it should be a matter of INDIVIDUAL CONSCIENCE whether a Christian accepts it.

It is GIVEN by a Donor to help preserve life.. much the same as the Ultimate Donor gave his life for us.

Err on the side of Mercy, and let those who need it live.

There are many who attack Jehovah’s Witnesses. Some are ministers of churches who have seen members of their flocks leave to become Witnesses and some are ex-Witnesses who were disfellowshipped for grossly dishonest or immoral conduct. Stubbornly refusing to accept correction their only defense is to retaliate with apostate lies and slander.
Disgruntled former Jehovah’s Witnesses never divulge to those whom their hate mongering is intended to influence just why it was that they were excommunicated. Telling the truth on just this point alone might prove helpful to those who read their comments but being helpful is no part of their motives. Instead of accepting correction they give in to the injured pride and jealousy that can result from being unmasked and not getting to have it their way. They allow their personal chagrin to fester until vexation leads them into open declarations of animosity, spewing forth all consuming tirades with such vehemence that they no longer have any capacity left for telling the truth.
As a result, readers who relish hate filled criticism eagerly believe apostate lies and become their latest victims, while those interested in knowing the truth look for factual evidence and are not taken in by falsely contrived stories. If you are one who prefers to know the facts contact the nearest Kingdom Hall or ask the next Witness who calls at your door and it will be supplied to you.

Notice how Kendy, a JW apologist, frames her definition of those who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses:

“Even non-believers of our faith, whom aren’t able to live up to Jehovah’s moral standards found in the bible, speak respectfully of our faith.”

As if everybody outside of her religion has no morals. This is the elitist attitude another poster was describing. For some reason JWs find it necessary to presuppose their own moral supremacy, while at the same time pretending to be humble.

It has been my experience, that Jehovah’s Witnesses teachings wreck family ties…..

They are an “elitest” religion…..they are the only true faith according to a JW. The people are mostly good people, it is their teachings that are so wrong, founded on Mr. Russell in the late 1800’s when many new religions came on stream. He disagreed with Seventh Day Adventist on the return of Christ. Thus JW’s were born.

Nowadays, everything is profaned. It doesn’t shock me any more that the same disrespect is applied by many towards biblical principles.

Blood! Blood! Blood!

The sacred character of blood was introduced for the first time in the bible, shortly after Cain killed his brother Abel. Genesis 4:10 reads: “Listen! Your brother’s blood is crying out to me from the ground.” In this context, his blood or life was crying out for vengeance!

Later on after the flood, in Genesis 9:4, 5 he ordered humans to eat the flesh of animals, but not their blood: ” Only flesh with its soul—its blood—YOU must not eat. (5) And, besides that, YOUR blood of YOUR souls shall I ask back. From the hand of every living creature shall I ask it back; and from the hand of man, from the hand of each one who is his brother, shall I ask back the soul of man.”
As the descendants of Noah, these principles apply to us as well. “The soul or life of all creatures is represented by the blood.” That is the sacred character of blood. Be it humans or animals, blood is directly linked to life.

By stating “YOUR blood of YOUR souls shall I ask back”, Jehovah will hold responsible those who disrespect the sacred character of life and blood.

Moreover, the Mosaic Law showed later that blood is both sacred and precious. Leviticus 17:10,11 reads “As for any man of the house of Israel or some alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst who eats any sort of blood, I shall certainly set my face against the soul that is eating the blood, and I shall indeed cut him off from among his people. 11 For the soul of the flesh is in the blood, and I myself have put it upon the altar for YOU to make atonement for YOUR souls, because it is the blood that makes atonement by the soul [in it].

So According to Jehovah, blood is “the equivalence of life.”

Now fast-forward to the establishment of the Christian congregation some 2,400 years after the flood of Noah, Jehovah God’s view point of blood remains the same. He inspired the “governing body of the early Christian congregation” to write in Acts 15:28,29 ” For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, (29) to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”

As true Christians, we accept these standards! We strive to please Jehovah first and foremost in the decisions we make in regards to blood use. As proven, the principles are not derived from “some guys in an office in Brooklyn” as you put it earlier, but from the bible itself.

Coming to Jehovah’s defense, I am a 24 year old baptized Witness, and devoted publisher. I am the subject of many praises both spiritually and professionally because of the education I received from my Jehovah’s Witness parents. I grew up in the truth, and it’s the best thing that ever happened to me.

It is rather sad for you, whom were allegedly an “Elder”, expressing in such a degrading manner about Jehovah’s organization. Even non-believers of our faith, whom aren’t able to live up to Jehovah’s moral standards found in the bible, speak respectfully of our faith. Most of the time admitting they know it’s the truth, but they are just not ready to conform themselves to it. Maybe that’s your case! Jehovah will be the ultimate judge of that.

But the prophecy of Acts 20:29, 30, could not be proven any more truthful in your case. It reads: “I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.”

Need I say more? No. But I’ll let the bible do the honors, as it normally does.

2 Timothy 20:16-20 reads: “But shun empty speeches that violate what is holy; for they will advance to more and more ungodliness and their word will spread like gangrene. Hy•me•nae´us and Phi•le´tus are of that number. These very [men] have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred; and they are subverting the faith of some. For all that, the solid foundation of God stays standing, having this seal: “Jehovah knows those who belong to him,” and: “Let everyone naming the name of Jehovah renounce unrighteousness.”

2 Peter 3;3,4: “For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires (4) and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”

1 Timothy 4:1 ” However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons,”

What I will do next is logically school you on some of the basic truths found in the bible advocated by Jehovah’s Witnesses. Why don’t we start with the bible’s viewpoint on blood transfusions…?

Lucky Vinny … you don’t have to be a JW anymore. Go choose some other religion more akin to your liberal thinking. I read the episcopal church has some openings.

Why are some today opposed to Jehovah’s Witness and their policies?

Dead People is why.

Ruined lives is why.

False prophecies is why.

A controlling Religious Institution is why.

They are WRONG ON BLOOD TODAY.

They are WRONG ON SHUNNING for merely walking away today.

They are WRONG 607 BCE and 1914.

They were WRONG ABOUT Vaccinations, Organ Transplants, Alternative Service, End of World Predictions, marital infidelity rules, rape, beards, 1935 and too many things to bother listing here.

Did God make all of these sorry decisions to force on all the JW’s, and then change his mind?

Or did a few old men sitting around in some Brooklyn office make these bad decisions, force them on all JW’s and then change their mind?

Does God serve Bad Food like this?

Perhaps He is not a very good cook?

If the bible is true then CHRISTIANITY IS GOD”S ORGANIZATION TODAY. That would mean being a follower of Christ. Not some fraction of Christianity, that has the absolute WORST record of them all in terms of false predictions, doctrinal, medical and oftentimes wacky published as “Food from God” teachings during the past 100 years.

Shunning for disagreements is NOT scriptural.

Shunning for walking away from the JW faith is NOT scriptural.

This is a control mechanism. And it works. It is a gross misapplication of scripture to keep the average JW in line. One cannot even think differently.

I WAS a JW, and an elder as well, until recently. I am very familiar with how they are actually WORSE than most other faiths today. I am shunned for walking away. People today and for the last 80 years have died, without reason, due to the WT medical policies forced on all JW’s.

Each week is filled with a list of JW obligations that basically OWN YOU.

You are told what you can read, what movies are acceptable, what association is acceptable, facial hair is okay. What you can celebrate and cannot. What words you are allowed to use. What is allowed in your own bedroom with your wife.
And too many other things to list here again.

They are not better than most religions for me after coming to know all the facts. Before knowing all the facts and believing they were God’s True Channel (as only JW’s say about JW’s) one can go a very long way to justify all of these things. Take away that one true faith belief and so falls the rest.

I have been there and done all that.
