letterman is way out of line .. what if someone said the same thing about one of his children ..how would he like it ?

Sometimes I think the World is a toilet and Dave, you just became the flush. How can you possibly think it is entertaining to trash a child??? You need to re-think your brand of humor. Why don’t you try to be a real man and fess up??? It is a lot more impressive to the rest of us out here, to say you are just wrong and off base than it is to just say yada yada yada and not take responsibillity for being grossly out of line. You need to apologize to the Palin family and make your most sincerest effort to make it sound REAL.
There are PLENTY of REAL PIGS in this world and if you feel the big need to trash someone pick someone else than zeroing in on a kid.

So this is what night time tv has lowered itself to. Dave Letterman is a pervert and needs to fade back into the cornfields of Indiana. And this morning they try to cover and say the joke writer for Dave didn’t double check which daughter was with the Governor. Throw the blame. I hate to think that Dave Letterman makes the salary he does and is not held accountable. Take the pervert off tv. No wonder world is so messed up. People in his position shouldn’t get paid and his “joke writer” should not be given a BONUS for 2009. I won’t watch his program any more………………CREEP.

I would so slap David Letterman in his face so hard I would knock his teeth into place, that was a low blow to talk about any child like that no matter who the parent of that child was , his show is now no better then the Jerry Springer Show and he should be pulled off the air, the girl is a child of 14 years of age and is now going to being teased by other kids her age. No mother in their right mind would let someone say this in public. Defamation. I see socialism starting in our country. I have to agree, say something about Mr. Obama’s children (which I think would be bad taste also) but watch what happens. I am glad to see people fight for right and wrong. I was actually watching when comments were made about this young lady and at the time I actually changed the channel and was disturbed by David Letterman’s comments. I have four daughters and dispite my political beliefs, thought “this has turned into the ” Jerry Springer show”. This is a little gal and I wonder if she were sitting there in the room looking at him would he still have the nerve to say it. She is a mother and the baby doesn’t deserve this either. I really have always loved letterman but his refusal for an appology was worse. All my lady friends at coffee said they felt the same way as I. We just commented that we will just go to bed earlier and skip the night shows. Who wants to go to sleep with comments like that. Mothers were not happy to hear this. I would hope that we are all not going to be punished for deciding to keep our babies. Why are they not putting down the father??? I think using this little gal for political hatred towards a certain party horrifies me.

When the motivation is to hurt someone -especially a 14 or even 18 year old girl - it’s just sad. Dave’s low road humor indicates more about him than the Palin family. Dave Letterman has finally reached the peak of his ability to be obnoxious and crude. His remark about Sarah Palin’s daughter was totally out of line and a humiliating insult. It was not funny!! Shame on him. I’m sure his mother is really proud. Dave, you’re pathetic. You just lost CBS this viewer and a lot of others. Time for you to retire your sick humor.

I’m am surprised at Extra for labeling Mrs. Palin as overreacting! Who began this tirade was none other than Mr. Letterman and his writers who obviously have an issue with a conservative politician. It makes you wonder if they feel threatened by the conservatives, even though we elected a liberal President and and a mostly liberal Congress. I wonder if Mr. Letterman would have used the President’s daughters in similar demeaning jokes—or-belittled the First Lady? The answer, of course is a resounding NO, because he has respect for the First Family. I did not vote for Obama, but he is my President and I have respect for the First Family. And as for Mrs. Palin, she has served the people of Alaska honorably. She deserves respect as well. I understand poking fun at politicians. But this time Mr. Letterman was extremely off!! He was disgusting!! He can go on for days how he was referring to the other daughter, and that these jokes were never directed at the little daughter, ect…The botttom line is—Mrs. Palin was in New York for a charity and, like alot of citizens, took in a baseball game. Yet, he detests her and believes the majority of his viewers feel the same. So like the bully at the playground, he tried knocking her down. Tisk, Tisk! YOU, Mr. Letterman, are a great disappointment. You are vile, disgusting and rude. What kind of man belittles a woman at the expense of her children and family? Are you that afraid of her? Maybe you and your cronies realize that she is alot smarter than you give her credit for. Last time I checked, Mr. Lettermen, you weren’t governing any state. Funny? No it is not, but neither is it funny to talk about a 14 year old child who happened to accompany her mother to a New York Yankee ball game while in New York for charity. Hey, by the way, Yankees, where are you on this? Remember, Old Dave said that A-Rod “knocked up” Sarah Palin’s 14 year old daughter. Funny? Is A-Rod a child molester like Dave suggests?
