VOTE: Weigh In on Palin/Letterman Feud!

Sarah Palin and David Letterman feud

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin picked a fight with David Letterman after he made jokes about Yankees stud Alex Rodriguez "knocking up" her daughter.

On Wednesday, Dave announced on his show that his jokes on the Palin family were "unpleasant" and "ugly" and said he would love to have the Governor as a guest on "Late Night." Palin's camp responded with a statement saying, "The Palins have no intention of providing a ratings boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show."

"Extra" wants to know: What's going on here?

NEXT: Happy Birthday Pete Wentz!

Let’s be fair. The press has been crucifying Sarah from the beginning. And they target her family too!!! Why isn’t the press finding little tidbits about the Obamas???? I can’t believe how VERY one sided the press, comedians, and the media is. When is America going to wake up and see through all of this??? Or is it too late already????

I do think that all comedians need to watch what they say about kids. They are the innocent ones who are thrown into the public eye by there famous parents and should not be targets. However even though it was a stupid, insensitive JOKE it is no worse than what that idiot Jaime Foxx said about 16 yr old Miley Cyrus on his radio show. He kept going on and on saying bad things about her he didn’t just stop with a one line joke.

I really think this was a mix up.
but that is there jobs so if Sara cant stand the heat she needs to stay out of the kitchen.
He did try to and make things right so
now it is all on Sara to stay in her corner and cry or go on the letterman
show and work it out like a couple adults.

Message to Bobby - you’re just a preverted as Letterman is. If you think those mean statements are hilarious, I feel sorry for you. This IS NOT a political issue - it has to do with people being decent. Side note - Palin has more class in her little finger than you’ll probably ever have.

It is a sad day in our society that we think it is ok to degrade young women in the way Dave did on his show. He claims he was talking about the older Palin daughter. No woman deserves a comment like that. If this was a comment made about Obama’s daughters we would see more of an outrage. Dave you owe the Palins a huge apology.

He is a pig and should be fired. How is this comment any less damaging than the Don Imus comment that caused him, rightfully so, his job. Get the guy of TV. He is not funny.

I don’t think Dave went over the line, A terrible mistake by the writer(Or researcher) who should be fired. The comment from Palin about adding ratings to the show is really the point. It seems to me that Palin is playing this for all she can get and when your in Dave’s line of work how can you resist! They both need to just let it go.

I wrote a letter to “Today Show” expressing my opinion about seeing Matt Laury jump on Palin this morning. HE brought it up. She was talking about merging Alaska with Canada for oil. Matt was unfair to her but she handled it fine. If you look under the web page they always have a contact us area. This is my first time writing my opinion about issues. I suggest we fight towards the good. Give people their consequences.

Letterman was wrong. Best attack…stop watching his show. Notify the sponsors of his show that you refuse to buy any more of their products as long as they support a used up has been who is so desperate for ratings that he stoops to such a low low degree as speaking in such a perverse way about a young girl.

Don’t let it ago, as Lana suggests, that’s the problem with those who choose to degrade females. Just letting it go, just ignoring it…except for those whom the injustice is aimed at… the hurt goes on for a long time.

for myself on order to respond against letteman, i will do the following: complain to local chanel that caries his show, advise local and nation wide advertisers that i will no longer support them, when the powers that be realize that the average american will no longer support this kind of trash on television or elsewhere will people be treated with the respect they deserve.

For a man to talk to a woman like that about her own daughters virtue. Of course she is mouthy!!!! Thats her little girl! I am disappointed how cruel tv is becoming. Even the beauty pageants had this happen with that judge, his words were nasty. Why are women being knocked down so much?
The media is so transparent. Like Matt Laury on Today Show. He reamed Palin for this this morning. She came back and put him in his place. To treat ANY lady that way. If he did this to Hillery Clinton I would feel the same way. Yes, we have the freedom of speech but we all have consequences for our actions.

It’s time to drop it Palin…it’s a non-story taken out of context by you and those around you. Give the rest of us a break. Palin’s 15 minutes is long over!

I am an Independant and did not vote for the Palin ticket.

Letterman’s comments about a 14 year old child were WAY out of line—even though he claims they were about Bristol Palin age 18. ( even so, she is an adult by only a few months )

Since Lettman is not man enough to apologize, CBS needs to do the right thing and suspend his for a few weeks.

As for making comments about Palin looking like a “slutty flight attendant”, that was insulting to flight attendants. Actually, both Sarah and flight attendants are always well groomed. The same can’t be said about David Letterman’s wife. She is a hag.

It doesn’t matter if it was the 14 year old daughter or the 18 year old daughter, David Letterman’s comments were out of line. He should have never made such a statement. Very degrading. If a conservative talk show host made such a statement about a woman, the press would crucify him and so would those of you supporting Letterman’s comments. Typical double standard

Letterman is disgusting. Needs to get some morals - but then he knocked up a woman and had an illegitimate child so nothing is really sacred for him
