Letterman was wrong. The left is wrong to think it is okay to make sexist jokes about Palin because she is not on the left and it is certainly not okay to make jokes about a child getting knocked up.

Sarah Palin’s abstinence parenting resulted in her daughter getting pregnant at age 17. When she teaches her daughters how to avoid pregnancy, then they’ll avoid being the butt of jokes like these. It’s not David Letterman’s fault that Sarah Palin’s daughter had a predictable response to her abstinence-only upbringing! I think it’s time for SP to “evolve.” Way past time.

I have always thought David Letterman to be the best late night show host..that has changed now. I feel he could find lots of other things to joke about instead of a fourteen year old girl…i’m sure she will be marked for life with this joke by peers. I have a daughter this same age and it is hard enough dealing with everyday pressures without adding uncalled for comments. I think itadmirable for her to endure all that she (Palin) has already hed to endure just because she is a woman trying to do her job and make a diffence. I guess Levi would agree with David. He too knocked up his girlfriend without a care to how it would affect her life. David knocked up Regina. The difference is, Levi was a hot headed kid and David was not. David has taken five years to marry the mother of his child, maybe Levi will make something of himself and do the same. I can’t believe all the negativity and comments here over a joke that a writer wrote and was a poor joke written in bad taste - people do make mistakes. The wrong daughter was used in the joke. There are a lot of comedians that make jokes about anyone who are in the public that tend to be harsh but there is no need to get upset over it. What is the problem it’s a joke

I think everyone is over reacting. Sarah Palin is way out there in left field and is over over reacting and making an issue and innuendoes just to stay in the public eye. I think Sarah is just sensitive.

I think everyone has forgotten about the breaking news about Sarah Palin’s oldest daughter pregnancy. During the campaign we all found out that the older daughter was pregnant before Sarah Palin said anything about her daughter’s pregnancy. Didn’t Sarah Palin during one of her speeches introduce her family told everyone that her older daughter was pregnant not married and commented after we all found out that her daughter was pregnant that she just got engaged. This was done on the advice of someone running the campaign to Sarah Palin because she was running for office with McCain.

We later found out that after the campaign that Sarah’s older daughter broke off her engagement and now the family is keeping the father away from his daughter and we all think that’s ok to keep a father away from his daughter especially when the father is a nice guy. Do we think that’s ok hmmm.

I think we all need to calm down. Stop picking and saying nasty things about David Letterman he is a great entertainer. His comedy is just to make you think, to point out certain situations that make sense then joke about it. That is what all comedians do. What about all the jokes that all the other Comedians were doing about our last President. That was only done to open everyone’s eyes. Now the comedians can’t find jokes to make on our new President and are disappointed that they don’t have material to use in their act.

We are all not perfect, we all make mistakes. Sarah Palin is just over the top, sensitive, over reacting, blowing this all out of proportion. Sarah Palin if she was decent should take David Letterman’s apology and leave it as that.
