TLC posted a Craigslist ad looking for a family of multiples

An ad was posted on Craigslist looking for a family expecting multiples to be featured on TLC. Does the cable network want to replace "Jon and Kate Plus 8"?!

An ad posted on Craigslist (and later removed) asked:

"Are you expecting multiples and want to share this extraordinary event with TLC???

TLC is now looking for NY, NJ, and CT families who are expecting twins, triplets, or more! We would capture the birth of the babies and witness their amazing first breath, first cry, and all the emotions that go along with such an incredible occasion. Then, TLC will be there as you leave the hospital and adjust to your first few days at home as a family."

It is unclear why the ad was removed.

Last Monday's season 5 premiere of "Jon and Kate Plus 8" was the highest-rated show in TLC's history -- with 9.8 million viewers.

UPDATE: A rep from TLC tells "Extra" that the Craigslist ad was for TLC's daytime show "Bringing Home Baby" -- and was posted for a special that the show is filming. The rep maintains the ad had "nothing about Jon and Kate or casting a new show on multiples."

Jon and Kate was a FANTASTIC show..one of my favorite….EXCEPT Kate is WAY TOO BOSSY and VERY MEAN to Jon. She treats him like her slave. I feel sorry for Jon because of the way she treats him on public tv. How does she treat him OFF THE AIR??

Jon appears to be a decent HUMAN BEING, and doesn’t deserve to be treated so badly!

i am not watching jon & kate anymore it is just heartbreaking knowing whats happened to this family and i feel watching is adding fuel to the fire helping tlc do the wrong thing by boasting ratings please all lets do the right thing for a change boycott boycott boycott!!!!!!!!!!

them from the slums to make better life
for self move to new york let go to
goods schools they have big family
show them better the life help others
in the slums they could get money to
help rebuild the slums the world would
love to see them geting help the rated

Well, can’t blame TLC. They have a good thing going. 9.8 million viewers for a show people claim they weren’t going to watch.

Keep your chin up, Jon & Kate. A lot of us still like you and the show and will watch as long as you guys want to keep it going….

Yes, get rid of J&K plus 8. That would be a breath of fresh air. If there must be a reality show about large families, please find someone else to be exploited by TLC. The Gosselins have made complete fools of themselves on national TV.

TLC used to actually be a phenomenal channel. The only thing that people LEARN from watching TLC now, is, how to turn a family into an eternal caricature of themselves. Good Work, TLC!!!!

When you say “let them” lead a normal life, who are you asking to free them? Jon and Kate are on the show of their own free will in order to make money. We will leave them alone when they decide to call it quits and go off the air. Until then, they are free game.

maybe it’s about time for those cameras out of the Gosselins residence..let them live a NORMAL life like the rest of us..they got the financial help they needed for the past 4 years..they should not let this reality show be the END ALL & BE ALL of their daily lives. get income from some other source..like look for jobs that pay like everyone gets paid..not $50K to $75K PER EPISODE!!! Give other families who need help replace them…
