As an advertiser on the David Letterman show, you endorse his point of view, I am appalled that your company supports the rape of young girls.

On June 8th 2009 Mr. Letterman “joked” that a female Governor of the United States is “slutty” and worse still, “joked” about her 14 year-old daughter and statutory rape by an adult baseball player. He continued his slander of this young girl during his June 9th show, likening her to a prostitute. I refuse to buy products from a company who supports such a vulgar, reprehensible attitude toward women and girls.

The logic that says the children were “put out there” and thus deserve the jokes then follows that Letterman will be telling mean spirited jokes about Obama’s children. Of course this will not happen because the underlying reason for the liberal joke writers is belittlement of a non-liberal. Does Letterman have children? I doubt Letterman’s joke writers have children.

Shame on Dave Letterman…I used to really enjoy his shows, loved it when he had his mom on…but totally disgusted by the show now. The jokes were scripted, written out earlier in the day and okayed…are there no women on that crew able or willing to speak up when something is too offensive! Republican or Democrat, there is no need to speak of young women like that!

I hope that letterman does not say anything negative about Obama’s daughters. Even tho I personally disagree with Obama on most things, it’s not acceptable to verbally attack his or anyone elses children. Also, letterman shows no respect for women. Women have fought for years for their rights and this sexist pig verbally attacks women including the slutty(letterman’s words), flight attendants. One other thing, why doesn’t Alex Rodriguez speak up on behalf of women and children, since his name was used as the adult that knocked up Palin’s daughter? I found the “slutty flight attendant” comment just as offensive. Can you imagine what the media would have done if he had said something like that about Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama? It’s ridiculous!

I am a Letterman fan, and an anti Palinite, and I think he can do no wrong. I am also a woman, & believe he meant Palin’s daughter who has an illegitate baby. Palin is trying to hog the camera again, and as usual her ignorance shows through.

To me the joke was more about A-Rod than the (older) Palin kid.
As a comedian, Letterman did his job. As a politician, Palin came off as a publicity-seeking rookie. I’m sorry I voted for Palin and will never again!
